Student answer (Band 4.5)
Mostly people said that there are no longer need for theatre and cinemas in the digital age as people can watch all entertainment they went online.Others argue that theatres and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally.I agrueed with that there are no longer need for theatres and cinemas.Peoples donnot have time, and they can easily watch online any things.
Firstly, people who think that there are no longer need for theatre and cinemas in the digital age, mostly people donnot have any time for that,in the present age there are alot of data or knowledge on the internet We can easily get every thing on the website such as shows and online programs.I agreed that individual are very busy in their work or study so they donnoy have enough time.
On the other hand, the peolpe that are argue with this that theatre and cinemas are still important both economically and culturally. These people are the old minded they thinks that if they went to these places ,can be contact with their society and had know about others affairs. They thoughts it is a culture and economically benifit for our society. Moreover, these persons are very linked with our culture.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You state a clear preference for online entertainment in the introduction and conclusion, and you attempt to discuss both views. However, the response only minimally fulfils the task: the case for online viewing is mainly that people are busy and can watch highlights later, while the opposing view is reduced to vague claims about social contact and cultural links. These points need explanation and relevant examples, and your own opinion should be supported more fully. The response also does not meet the 250-word minimum: it contains 247 words, with 23 words copied from the prompt excluded from the count. Develop each side with specific reasons and examples, then explain why your preferred view is more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers identify the intended structure. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: ideas are often repeated, particularly the claim that people are busy and use the internet, rather than being developed in a clear sequence. Some links between claims are also unclear, as in the sentence about visiting cinemas to contact society and learn about others’ affairs. Use each paragraph to develop one main point, connect explanation to an example, and avoid repeating the same reason in the conclusion without adding a clear synthesis.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a basic range of topic-related vocabulary, including “digital age,” “internet,” “economically,” and “culturally,” so the general subject is usually identifiable. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several inaccurate choices or spellings make the meaning less clear, such as “old minded,” “data or knowledge,” “benifit,” and “highlights of it providedd.” Some phrases do not express the intended idea naturally, including “all entertainment they went online” and “had know about others affairs.” Build a more precise range for discussing access, audiences, cultural value, and employment, and check spelling and collocations. This would make your points clearer and reduce reliance on repeated words such as “people,” “time,” and “internet.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the reader can generally follow the broad argument. However, the range of structures is limited, and frequent errors in sentence formation, verb forms, agreement, articles, and plurals sometimes obscure meaning. For example, “there are no longer need” lacks correct agreement and structure, while “they thinks” and “they donnot have time to went” show problems with subject–verb agreement and verb forms. Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation, such as the opening paragraph and the sentence beginning “in the present age.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add controlled complex sentences using clauses such as “because” and “although.”
