Student answer (Band 5.0)
Previously people used to go to theathers and cinemas to watch entertainment as everyone used to gather in one place to experiance the entertainment but as the time moved on the demand and trend changed as now in this era people prefer online. cinema and theater gives personal touch and expriance of life time to watch it with so many people where as online entertainment is best for people who are introvert or loves to keep them isolated as the feel comfort in that, cinemas charge you but they charge you for the services which they are gonna give which is essesntial for them too and on the other hand online entertainment is free on some websites so some people think why spend money if we can watch it free. I think online entertainment is more reliable and comforting than cinemas because we can watch it where ever however we want. Dont need to wait for the realese on online just search it and watch it,some people are busy or are money conscious they can go for the online option as it also saves money and also watch it when you are available can pause play whenever you want. for example netflix there are a lot of series and movies in it in hd quality just pay a small amount of fee and use it for a month in your home office wherever you feel easy.In conclusion I would end it with people will more likely go for online as it fullfilles all the criteria of the new demand and supply trend

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You express a clear preference for online entertainment, supporting it with convenience, lower cost, flexible viewing, and Netflix as an example. These points are relevant, but the task asks you to discuss both views and your own opinion. The case for online viewing receives most of the response, while the economic and cultural importance of theatres and cinemas is only briefly touched on through the “personal touch” and shared experience. Those points are not explained or supported, and the economic perspective is not developed. Your position is present, but it would be clearer if stated directly and maintained alongside a balanced discussion. Develop each side with specific reasons or examples before explaining why you favour one.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has a recognisable overall direction: it introduces the shift to online viewing, gives reasons for preferring it, and ends with a conclusion. However, ideas are not arranged into clear paragraphs, and several different points are crowded into long, run-on sentences. For example, the opening moves from shared cinema experiences to introversion, charges, and free websites without clear transitions. Connectors such as “whereas,” “on the other hand,” and “for example” show an attempt to link ideas, but the relationships are sometimes unclear or the links feel mechanical. Organise the essay into an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion. Use clear topic sentences and refer back to each side consistently.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “online entertainment,” “isolated,” “services,” “reliable,” and “HD quality.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “money conscious” and “demand and supply trend.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which can make the reader pause. Examples include “personal touch and expriance of life time,” “keep them isolated,” and “fullfilles all the criteria.” Spelling errors such as “theathers,” “experiance,” and “realese” are noticeable. Build a more precise range for discussing cultural value, shared experiences, and economic effects, and check spelling and natural word combinations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas using clauses and contrast, as in “whereas online entertainment is best for people who are introvert,” and you use modal forms such as “we can watch it.” However, the response relies heavily on long sentences joined by commas, and complex structures are often faulty. For instance, “as the time moved on the demand and trend changed as now in this era” has unclear clause structure, while “some people are busy or are money conscious they can go” needs a clear grammatical link between the clauses. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and verb forms, such as “people who are introvert” and “it fullfilles.” Use shorter, controlled sentences, then practise accurate subordinate clauses and punctuation.
