Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some individuals think that in the age of digital era of technology, theatres and cinemas are no longer important as materials are available in online, whereas others think the opposite and give these priority both socially and traditionally prspects.
Overall,in my opinion i would prefer the first argument.Although it's more amusing to enjoy movies at theatres and cinemas but if one talk about the conviniences ,the online option is more feasible.
In this era of modern technology ,people always look for something which can be easily accessible, today's world is a busy world.People rarely get the time and energy to go to the movie theatres ,wait in a long line to get the tickets, and then finally watch the movie. Moreover all genres movies are not always available in the cinemas. So people need to pick from the particular ones which doesn't look worthy all the time.Meanwhile, all types of movies ,series, animations are easily accessiblle now a days even at the cost of zero. One even get these in the digital version with higher resoulation. So,it's quite pleasing for people to use these online platforms to spend their leisure time in home with their family and friends.
Furthermore,it saves more time to stay at home and even give entertainments to the one who are physically disable and elderly people. For instance, family with newborn kids can't enjoy at theatres because the baby can't find comfort staying at a dark place for a long time, also people do get disturbed by babies in the cinemas. So,they can't enjoy fully and get the contex of movies because of the lack of concentration,
In the conclusion, technology always gets more positive feedbacks from viewers, considering all perspectives theatres and cinemas are no longer much important as they were before.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
Your position is clear: you prefer online entertainment because it is more convenient, and you give relevant examples involving busy people, families with newborns, and elderly or disabled viewers. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the opposing case is only briefly acknowledged in the introduction through the claim that theatres matter socially and traditionally. You do not explain their economic or cultural value, such as employment, support for local businesses, or shared cultural experiences. Your own argument is also repeated more than developed, and the conclusion simply restates your preference. To strengthen the response, explain both sides with specific reasons and examples, then show why your preferred view is more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas about convenience are generally grouped together. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Meanwhile,” and “Furthermore” help signal additions. However, progression is limited because the essay develops only one side of the discussion, and several points repeat the idea that online viewing is easier. Some connections are unclear: the paragraph beginning “Furthermore” shifts from saving time to accessibility for particular groups without fully explaining the link. The long sentence about newborns also ends with a comma, leaving the paragraph’s final point unfinished. Organise the body around the two views, use clearer links between claims and examples, and ensure each paragraph has a complete ending.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “genres,” “digital version,” “leisure time,” and “concentration,” and the reader can generally understand your preference. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. Examples include “give these priority,” “at the cost of zero,” and “get the contex of movies.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “conviniences,” “accessiblle,” and “resoulation.” Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe online content as “available at no cost” and say that viewers can “follow the plot” rather than “get the context of movies.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “because,” and “which.” These attempts show some range, but complex sentences are often not controlled accurately, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. For example, “Although it's more amusing to enjoy movies at theatres and cinemas but…” combines two contrasting structures, while “if one talk” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. There are also problems with articles, plurals and sentence boundaries, as in “all genres movies” and the comma splice before “also people do get disturbed.” Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then check agreement, articles and punctuation when combining ideas.
