Student answer (Band 5.5)

On the one hand certain individuals believe that in the modren era of tecnology, stages and film theaters are not significant with due respect people can watch movies and dramas at home through the internat. On the other hand it is argue that auditoriams and movie houses play a massive role in the economy and culture of a country.

Some people believe that auditoriams and movie houses are less singnificant now beacuse now every single individual have their own smart phone they can easily entertain them selves at home by using internat. For example if a person wanted to watch a movie at home so he does't need to buy some ticket or ther things he needs only a digital device that is connacted to the internat he can enjoy every film, drama or series at home easily.People think that watching movie at cenima hall is the wastwge of time it is the consumption of time and money both.

While on ther hand some certain individuals disagree with the above statement they believe that playhouses amd movie halls play a significant role in the tardition and economy of country. At economical point of view,if we wanted to watch a movie at cinema hall so we need to buy a ticket every ticket lies between 500pkr-1000pkr owner of cinema hall pay tax on every single ticket about 30%,this one help our economy. At cultural point of veiw, we can represent moral stories of our insctors at cinema halls and teach our youth.

In my prospective, auditoriams and movie houses are less significant now days. these are the wastage of both money and time.So i completely agree with stages and film theaters are not much important rather than past.

In conclusion, watching movies at hpome is very easy nowadays while.watshing movies at stages and film theaters is the time and money consumpted.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and state your own position: online viewing is convenient and cheaper, while cinemas contribute through ticket sales and can present cultural stories. These points are relevant, and the example of ticket prices and tax gives the economic argument some support. However, the discussion is uneven and several ideas remain under-developed. The cultural point about representing “moral stories” is not explained with a specific example, and the claim that cinemas are a waste of time and money is asserted rather than justified. Your opinion is clear in the final paragraph, but it would be stronger if you acknowledged the benefits you have described and explained why convenience outweighs them. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. The contrast between viewpoints is also signposted with phrases such as “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” so the reader can follow the broad direction. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear, particularly the repeated “At economical point of view” and “At cultural point of veiw.” Several sentences run together without clear punctuation, as in the example about watching a film at home, which makes relationships between ideas harder to follow. The conclusion repeats the opinion but adds little synthesis. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect each example directly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “digital device,” “economy,” “culture,” “ticket,” and “moral stories,” and you attempt alternatives such as “auditoriums,” “movie houses,” and “playhouses.” This gives the response enough vocabulary to communicate its main subject. However, spelling errors are frequent, including “modren,” “tecnology,” “internat,” and “wastwge,” and some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “time consumpted,” “at economical point of view,” and “less significant.” Repetition of “movie houses” and “significant” also limits range. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “cinemas contribute to the economy” rather than the less natural phrasing in the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if a person wanted to watch a movie at home” and “if we wanted to watch a movie at cinema hall.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to process. For example, “every single individual have” should use a singular verb, while “it is argue” needs a passive form. The sentence beginning “For example if a person wanted…” continues through several clauses without adequate punctuation, and “I completely agree with stages and film theaters are not much important” has an unclear grammatical structure. Practise building accurate complex sentences and separating independent clauses with full stops or suitable conjunctions.
