The diagram below shows how one type of desert, known as a rain-shadow desert, is formed.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram illustrate, the process of formation rain-shadow deserts.

Overall, the process includes seven stages begining from the winds are formed from the coastal area and driven thousands of kilometers through the mointaines and finally, reached island areas.

At the begening, winds are approched from the coastal area and then gradually pushed upward to the mountain. At the windward side of the moutains the moist air was rose and cooled. After that, clouds were formed from the moist air. The cloudes were created water droplets and rain was fallen at the top of the mointaines.

Thenafter, dry air were continued to travel over the mountaines from the top part to the leeward side. At the leeward side dry winds were formed and it dramatically fallen down to reached island areas. Finally the rain-shadow desserts are formed while going through length process. Also his wind passed thousands of kilometers to form this desert
