Student answer (Band 4.5)

The universites undergraduate courses allow the period of time studying in abroad to explore the students new way of experinces and practicing and also offer a work placements in new countries to enhance their skills as well.

Universities courses include the some period of time spent in abroad for just higher studies. Because undergraduate students are less mature and they have lack of knowledge at that point. However, the students who are undergraduate are not mature and they move in abraod at this stage might be bad decision. For example if the undergraduate courses include this term so many of studnets just take addmissions for just going to abroad for studies and many of indiviuails wants to to go aborad for explore the opertunities.

If the univeristites include doing work placment after the graduation it might be helpful for studnets to get chance and grab the opertunities. I believe that universities should iclude the working placement for intelligents students. For exmaple they set a criteria for students if they acheive the level of score in his courses so they can be eligible for work placement. Universities also mention these benefits for A+ students in the mid of the course they acn be eligible of spent studying time in aborad.

In conclusion, studying abroad for undergraduates is advantages for a briilaints student to explore new things but work placement during ythis time period is not a suitable decision for any univeristies. these benefits aeonly for those who aim to study during the course not focus on work placemnet and se

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the topic and give a discernible view: studying abroad may benefit students, while work placements are not suitable for everyone. However, the response does not clearly answer whether the advantages of requiring one of these experiences for all undergraduates outweigh the disadvantages. The discussion shifts between studying abroad, work placements after graduation, and eligibility for high-scoring students, so the central comparison remains unclear. The point that undergraduates may be immature is relevant, but it needs explanation and a specific consequence; the proposed score-based criteria also need to be connected to the task’s requirement for all courses. Develop a consistent position and support both sides with relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has an opening, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and basic signposting such as “For example” and “In conclusion” helps identify stages of the answer. However, ideas are not arranged in a clear progression: the first body paragraph moves from students’ maturity to motives for going abroad, while the next introduces placements after graduation and then returns to studying abroad. Connections between these points are often unclear, and repeated references to “students” and “universities” do not always show how one idea relates to another. The conclusion also introduces a distinction between students who study and those who focus on placements without resolving the comparison. Group related arguments together and use clearer links between claims and explanations.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “work placement,” “enhance their skills,” “eligible,” and “opportunities.” These choices show an effort to discuss education and employment, but the range is limited and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “experinces,” “oper tunities,” “intelligents students,” and “brilliants student”; “explore the opportunities” is also repeated without much variation. Some phrases are not natural in context, such as “higher studies” where you mean studying abroad as part of an undergraduate course. Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary, check spelling carefully, and choose precise expressions for the different options in the question.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if they achieve the level of score … they can be eligible.” This shows some ability to express conditions and reasons. However, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and prepositions are frequent, and several sentences are difficult to follow. For example, “Because undergraduate students are less mature and they have lack of knowledge at that point” is an incomplete sentence, while “the students who are undergraduate are not mature and they move in abroad … might be bad decision” has an unclear subject and faulty structure. The final sentence is also incomplete. Practise complete sentences, check subject–verb agreement and articles, and proofread punctuation and sentence endings.
