Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages, ultimately taking a clear position. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the benefits of practical experience are mentioned, the explanation of the disadvantages—specifically the logistical challenges for universities—is vague and lacks sufficient depth. The example provided regarding the engineer 'Ali' is a bit anecdotal and does not fully illustrate the broader academic or professional impact requested. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete evidence for your arguments, ensuring that the link between the proposed policy and the resulting outcomes is clearly articulated for the reader.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'In addition to this', and 'To sum up' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced, such as 'In order to maintain these spectrum'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear; for example, the phrase 'these type of interesting tasks are disregard' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the flow of the argument. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to previous nouns will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You attempt to use some less common vocabulary like 'delineated', 'imperative', and 'mitigate'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'flourish their skills' (develop/hone), 'a adequate time' (an adequate), and 'disregard' (are disregarded). These errors do not prevent understanding, but they do limit the precision of your expression. To improve, focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—rather than just individual synonyms, and pay closer attention to word forms and articles.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain errors that affect clarity, such as 'This is because, it offers several pros which, help me to consider it as a imperative factor.' Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the unnecessary use of commas between subjects and verbs. There are frequent minor errors in articles ('a adequate', 'an financial') and subject-verb agreement ('these type of interesting tasks are disregard'). While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and sentence structure.
