Student answer (Band 6.5)

Education is necessary for the development of people and the nation. it starts from school and end on universitym Which is considered as last institution where someone can learn theoretically and practically as well. World in which we are living it wants more practically experienced people as compare to the only book reader. While the questions is how can a student get experience during their studies. It has two different solutions.

Firstly, there must be a subject in last 2 semesters which encourge the students to do work. If university has partnership with companies. like an electrical engineer who studies all the time and really do not how to apply it in practical life. How to fix a machine which is not working for any little cause. Similary every student which belongs to the any course must have worksop experience. Because without any practical experience they qre going to face major problems in work life. As any compny does not hire a such persong who just holds a degree and no experience. So, work experience matters a lot.

On the other hand, students can also learn if they studies in such environment where multiple nationality holder students are getting knowledge. As most of the european countries send their students to the other countries after every smester. Just because the students interact with other people and share their experience with them. It is also helpful for the students also as it elevates their experience of communication, research and to think wider. So it is the best way which university can do.

Both method are good and have their own impact on the betterment of students and tese steps must be taken be the universities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both work placements and studying abroad. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the benefits of practical experience for engineers and the cultural benefits of studying abroad, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. The position is clear, but the essay would benefit from a more balanced exploration of the 'disadvantages' mentioned in the prompt, which are largely ignored. To reach a higher band, ensure you address all parts of the question, including the counter-arguments, and provide more detailed explanations for your claims.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Similary' and 'Just because the students interact...' are used in ways that do not effectively link ideas. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. While there is an overall logical progression, the referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and better sentence-to-sentence cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'major problems', and 'best way'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'universitym' (spelling), 'worksop' (spelling), and 'multiple nationality holder students' (awkward phrasing). To improve, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to education and professional development. Avoid repetitive phrasing and try to incorporate less common vocabulary to demonstrate a more flexible range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('any compny does not hire a such persong'), incorrect article usage, and sentence fragments ('Like an electrical engineer who studies all the time and really do not how to apply it in practical life'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with sentence boundaries. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
