Student answer (Band 4.0)

All the university in the study abroad having alot of courses for the students and also a difficult one in abroad the student will follow the rules of his university some university give permission to some don't give to work

It also having a advantages and disadvantages of include a work in university time

advantages for the students because university having alot of expenses and to student can pay it easily and also alot of expenses of accommodation that student have to work in university time they don't have any options it is also good for the student's health and in abroad the university have rules if the student don't pay admission fee the university straightly disqualify the student from the university that's why university should include work time i am totally agree with this and the student will also focus on his studies

disadvantages also for the students in that case students can't focus on the study in that case the student only focus on work does not focus on studies which is harmful for the university image and the students cant attend regular classes and can't take a part in physical activates in university and if the student didn't achieve a goal the university straightly deport a students

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address the prompt by discussing advantages and disadvantages, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack depth. The position is stated, but the reasoning is repetitive and lacks logical support. For instance, the argument regarding university expenses is unclear and does not directly address the prompt's focus on the value of studying abroad or work placements. To improve, you must expand your points with specific examples and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the paragraphs are poorly defined. The use of cohesive devices is extremely limited, making the flow of ideas disjointed. For example, the transition between the advantages and disadvantages is abrupt, and the lack of linking words makes it difficult to follow your line of reasoning. To improve, you should use clear paragraphing—one for the introduction, one for each main point, and one for the conclusion—and incorporate transition signals like 'furthermore,' 'however,' and 'consequently' to connect your ideas logically.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very basic and repetitive. You frequently use simple words like 'good,' 'difficult,' and 'work,' which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are also significant issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'straightly disqualify' and 'physical activates.' The range of vocabulary is insufficient to discuss the topic with any precision. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to education and employment, and practice using synonyms to avoid repeating the same words throughout your essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'All the university... having'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, making them difficult to parse. For example, 'some university give permission to some don't give to work' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of tenses before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
