Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is a point of debate whether all courses on undergraduate level in university offer internship or include certain period of time in abroad for extra skills A significant chunk of community welcome conception, whereas the remaining members oppose the same. I entirely accept this phenomenon and explain why in the paragraph below.
There are several arguments which go along with my personal perspective. First and most prominent lies in the fact that human beings should be extra careful with their decisions. From my perspective, study is divided into two parts theory and practical, and both plays a significant role in the student era. Along with the theoretical knowledge, practicals help to understand in convenient way to learn long lasting. In addition, after completing the course work placement should be included in their career to gain extra knowledge. Some universities offer to have study in abroad for a short time to explore in real life in both culturally and economically. However, the situation changed drastically after a couple of years.
On the other hand, there are numerous disadvantages also of having work placement. Nowadays, if students go to learn skills and do work same as an employee, they don't get salary, and their colleagues even pressure more for the work. Additionally, not everyone can take benefit of studying abroad due to financial issues or without their support. However, the government should take step for the student support.
All the above discussed assertions lead to the conclusion that although people enjoy numerous benefits due to the trends. So, in my opinion, it would be wise enough to say that university students should include in a work placement.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of mandatory study abroad or work placements. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you state your position, the arguments regarding the benefits of practical experience and the drawbacks of unpaid labor are not fully extended with concrete examples or deeper analysis. The conclusion is slightly disconnected from the body paragraphs, as it introduces the topic of work placement without explicitly mentioning the study abroad component again. To improve, ensure each main point is supported by a specific example or a more detailed explanation of the 'why' and 'how'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed. For instance, the transition between the benefits of theory/practice and the mention of study abroad is abrupt. Some cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the other hand' and 'In addition', but they are occasionally used mechanically or in contexts where they do not fit perfectly. The referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where the connection between the discussed assertions and the final opinion could be more logically linked.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'theoretical knowledge', 'economically', and 'assertions'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'study is divided into two parts theory and practical' (should be 'theory and practice') and 'explore in real life in both culturally and economically'. These errors occasionally make the text feel unnatural. To reach a higher band, focus on using collocations correctly and expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic terminology.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('both plays a significant role') and missing articles or prepositions ('include in a work placement', 'time in abroad'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring sentence structures are complete.
