Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this modern civilization, some people think that all universities should provide abroad study time or work placement due to the fact it helps them grooms their personality, mind. On the contrary, other thinks its a waste of time and resources. However, my firm believe is that this period of time is necessary for them to become problem solver and successful.
The process of a problem is more enjoyable than than the problem itself. When we add abroad studying time mandatory the student will interact with different culture, language, and explore the area themselves it help them groom themselves. For instance, if a student is in UMT Lahore Pakistan, and his university is participating in conference in Turkey, it will boost his moral and confidence.
Hierarch of success depend on problem solving. If students has to work in there degree for a certain period of time. Definitely, it will help them develop their problem solving skill by facing new challenges and problems everyday . For example, I have done internship at solve craft limited limited due to the fact that i have to face different scenarios every time it helps me build my persona .
In conclusion, including a period of time spent studying abroad or doing work placement have more pros rather than doing nothing. The circumstance tell us it will help us develop brain and tells us truth about the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but it fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly limits the depth of the argument. While the main ideas—cultural exposure and problem-solving skills—are relevant, they are under-developed. The supporting examples, such as the conference in Turkey or the internship experience, are brief and lack the necessary elaboration to fully explore the advantages and disadvantages as requested. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed analysis and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a comprehensive response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'The process of a problem is more enjoyable than than the problem itself,' which lacks a clear logical connection to the paragraph topic. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between ideas feels abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that flows logically into the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'grooms their personality' and 'hierarch of success.' Some terms are used incorrectly, such as 'circumstance tell us' instead of 'circumstances suggest.' While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of precision and the reliance on basic vocabulary prevent a higher score. You should aim to use more academic collocations and precise terminology to express your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('other thinks,' 'student has to work in there degree'), missing articles, and incorrect sentence structures. There is a limited range of complex sentence structures, and those that are attempted often contain errors. For example, 'if a student is in UMT Lahore Pakistan, and his university is participating in conference in Turkey' is grammatically fragmented. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will help improve your accuracy.
