Student answer (Band 6.0)

All bachelor's degree programs at the university should include a certain period of time spent studying abroad or doing a work placement. Although this policy may have some drawbacks, such as extending the duration of studies and increasing students' financial burden, I believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages because it enables students to gain practical experience and improve their employment prospects.

One of the main advantages of this policy is that it provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience. This is because, while studying abroad, they can broaden their horizons and acquire new skills in their fields of study in another country. Another advantage is enhance their employment prospects. This is mainly because, it may provide for students to get initial experience in their an additional a work placement during their undergraduate courses. For example, at the major tourism there are a significant number of exchange programs because it is get possibility to boost their knowledge in their fields of study.

Furthermore, it is important to have work placement because many students want to financial independent but they do not want to work unprofessional but now they are undergraduate they can work effortlessly or in a professional way and have a great experience in their field. Many students are going through family financial crises if they got work placements they can easily help their parents financially and also take care of their siblings if they have any.

On the other hand, this policy is that students may need to spend a longer period of time completing their studies. This means that, in addition to the core courses in their bachelor's degree program at their university, students will also be required to spend a certain amount of time studying in another country or completing an internship. Also many students do not have time to time to prepare their meals and also if they can stay with their family they can emoitional support from them. For instance, not all the exchange programs provided a full ride for students, because Most programs do not cover the cost of ticket of plane and meals.

To conclude, although all university undergraduate courses should encourage students , in my perception benefit's overshadow the drawbacks.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed the prompt by taking a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. You have provided reasons for both sides, which is good. However, some ideas are under-developed or lack clarity. For example, the paragraph regarding financial independence is somewhat tangential to the core argument of academic/professional development. Additionally, the explanation of why exchange programs are beneficial is repetitive and lacks specific, well-articulated examples. To reach a higher band, ensure that every point directly supports your central argument and avoid drifting into personal financial circumstances that are not strictly related to the educational value of the policy.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the phrase 'This is mainly because, it may provide for students to get initial experience'. The flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing or grammatical errors, which makes the progression of ideas feel a bit disjointed at times. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help your writing flow more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'undergraduate courses', 'employment prospects', and 'financial burden'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'get possibility to boost their knowledge' and 'want to financial independent'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that words are used in the correct grammatical form. You have the foundation to use more sophisticated language, but you need to ensure accuracy when attempting to use less common vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is a positive step. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('not all the exchange programs provided'), missing articles, and awkward sentence construction ('many students do not have time to time to prepare their meals'). While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focus on proofreading for basic errors like verb tense consistency and sentence fragments to improve your accuracy.
