Student answer (Band 5.0)

All university undergraduate subjects should create some time period spent on study from out of country or doing a work placement.

First of all, all universities should have to work on that idea and create a time period for students to study abroad because it gave them a lot of information , experience and also some skills according to their own mindset. For Example, Study abroad give them a chance to realize world and learn english.

Students want to work on various platform and also want to earn money but the knowledge of pakistan can't help them to do it. It can be possible for them if they shall move to out of country. But it totally not depend upon a student, It also responsibility of their parents and their teachers of universities whom need to pressure the students to move abroad. Therefore, students can't survive in their own country for a long time. For Example, Study abroad help them to recognize themselves and also give them a experience about all of the world.

This advantage outweigh the disadvantage because doing that students can survive all of the problems that they have to face in their life. For Example, Students can face new humans and get knowledge from them. Therefore, by viewing the all points we have experienced that we should promote it for students which help them to improve their life and can be proved very achieved for all of them. So, Government should promote it for our country success and for gain experience.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. For instance, the argument that studying abroad helps students 'realize the world' or 'recognize themselves' is vague and lacks specific, logical elaboration. The points regarding parental and teacher pressure are somewhat tangential to the core question of whether such programs should be mandatory. To improve, you should focus on providing concrete, well-explained reasons—such as cultural competence, employability, or language acquisition—rather than relying on generalizations about 'surviving problems'.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression between ideas is weak. While you use some cohesive devices like 'First of all' and 'Therefore', they are often used incorrectly or do not logically connect the preceding and following sentences. For example, the transition 'Therefore, students can't survive in their own country for a long time' does not follow logically from the previous discussion about moving abroad. The referencing is also unclear at times, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. You frequently use simple words like 'get', 'do', and 'give' where more precise academic vocabulary would be appropriate. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'proved very achieved' and 'realize world'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including collocations and academic phrases, and ensure that words are used in their correct context. Focusing on synonyms and more specific terminology related to education and career development will help.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Study abroad give them'), article usage (e.g., 'the knowledge of pakistan'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'It also responsibility of their parents'). The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with some attempts at complex ones that are often grammatically flawed. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions and articles. Proofreading for these common errors is essential.
