Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, studying abroad or doing a work investment have become increasingly common as a crucial element in all university curricula for the undergarduate students. Although this trend has both advantages and disadvantages, i firmly believe that the advantages of this would outweigh the disadvantages.
The main advantage is that education abroad or dive in work will equip the students with a lot of benefits. Firstly, it enhances practical skills which may increase job opportunites. Secondly, it encourages cultural exchange which reflects positively on their experience. Finally, it helps students acquire knowlege and broaden their horizons. For example, students who invest their time and effort in work or studying abroad, definitely will have more competances than others who do not have these experience. Consequently, spending more time in studying abroad or doing a work placement can help students persue higher education.
However, one significant drawbacks is that there is a notable inequality between students owing to the inability of all students to do that. This is often because the financial issues and some social and cultural barriars. For instance, students in such rural areas cannot go through this passway due to the several previous obstacles. As a result, this concept may be not convenient to all layers of society because it do not match their abilities.
Consequently, I believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. That is because we can solve some of these disadvantages by the online learning which make access to information and discover other cultures much easier. Moreover, the investment in work at least in the summer vacation will extremely helpful due to learning much experiences that greatly affect their career passway.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding the benefits (practical skills, cultural exchange) and the drawbacks (inequality, financial barriers) are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the suggestion that online learning solves the issue of inequality is a bit simplistic and lacks depth. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations or concrete examples to support your claims. The conclusion effectively reinforces your position, but overall, the ideas could be extended further to demonstrate a more sophisticated level of critical thinking.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'Finally', and 'However' to signal the progression of your argument. While the structure is generally sound, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally slightly unclear, such as in the sentence 'This is often because the financial issues...', where the connection between the previous statement and the explanation could be smoother. Overall, the flow of ideas is easy to follow, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'curricula', 'cultural exchange', and 'inequality'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'work investment' instead of 'work placement', 'dive in work' instead of 'engaging in work', and 'career passway' instead of 'career path'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring that the words you choose are used in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('this concept may be not convenient', 'it do not match') and minor spelling or word-form errors ('undergarduate', 'knowlege', 'competances', 'barriars'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall accuracy. To achieve a higher score, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent control over complex sentence structures.
