Student answer (Band 6.0)
These days university undergraduate courses give a period of time for pursue their studies abroad or gaining work experience. Some people claims that they should spent their time to studying abroad. I agree with this opinion I believe the advantages of this would outweigh the disadvantages.
On the one hand, there are a lot of advantages to studying abroad and gaining work experience knowledge is that the individual became more efficient and polished with learning new skills and culture such as, learning new language, global network, and work experience. Moreover, pupils have polished their hands on experience and became more powerful to get better opportunities in their lives. For instance, software companise gave a lot of experience to their employees and they became more enticing. However, studying abroad is beneficial for every individuals through this they became more intellectual.
On the other hand, studying abroad and doing their work have some drawbacks it is leading to a lot of problems such as, homesickness, stress, and extra cost. Conversely, it may take too much time and they do not care for themselves it lead to high risk of health problems. Even though, if any individual live far away from their homes he has to bear a huge amount of taxes and living abroad is gives high expense of living.
In conclusion, studying or working abroad can give a life time opportunity and develop their skills in the market of software industries. In contrast, undergraduates have to bear high fees to the universities and work limits. I believe there are more advantages than disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention benefits like 'global network' and 'work experience', these points are not fully extended or supported with specific, logical examples. The example regarding 'software companies' is slightly disconnected from the general argument about undergraduate courses. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-explained idea that directly supports your thesis. The conclusion repeats some points but lacks a strong summary of the main arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as using 'Conversely' to introduce a paragraph about drawbacks, which does not fit the context perfectly. Additionally, the flow between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally choppy. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used to create smooth transitions between ideas would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'intellectual', 'opportunities', and 'homesickness'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'polished their hands on experience' and 'gives high expense of living'. Some vocabulary is repetitive, and there are minor spelling errors like 'companise'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and academic vocabulary that fits the context of university education and professional development, while ensuring that your word choices sound natural to a native speaker.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Some people claims', 'living abroad is gives'), incorrect verb forms ('should spent'), and missing articles. Punctuation is generally functional, but some sentences are run-on or lack necessary commas. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that verb tenses are used consistently throughout your response.
