Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention benefits like confidence and economic growth, the explanations are brief and lack specific, concrete examples to fully support your claims. For instance, the mention of 'UK fully funded scholarships' is a fragment that does not clearly connect to the argument about motivation. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning and clearer illustrations of how these experiences specifically impact a student's future career or personal development.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'On the contrary', and 'To conclude'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as in the phrase 'Examining the brighter side of, the foremost one is that'. Additionally, some transitions are used incorrectly, like 'Furthermore, the mentioned benefits', which lacks a clear grammatical link to the previous paragraph. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the essay read more naturally and improve the overall progression of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'precautionary action', 'attributes', and 'unprivileged'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors that hinder clarity, such as 'undergraduates subjects' instead of 'undergraduate courses', 'rise the country' instead of 'boost the economy', and 'foreign graduated scholars' instead of 'students who have studied abroad'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they indicate a need for more precise control over academic vocabulary and collocations to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('It raised the extra charges'), incorrect verb forms ('had to paid to enrolled'), and article usage errors ('at international level'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract from the message. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors such as tense consistency and preposition usage. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring they are error-free will significantly boost your score in this criterion.
