In the modern era, every univesity should provide that undergraduate course students can spent time in studying at overseas or doing work placement for the development. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention cultural benefits and practical skills, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. For instance, the mention of 'logical thinking' and 'critical thinking' is vague and not clearly linked to the experience of studying abroad. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or concrete examples of how these experiences specifically impact a student's future career or personal growth. The conclusion is relevant but could be more robust in summarising the main arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Thenafter' and 'Then' are used inappropriately to link ideas, which disrupts the flow. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt, making the progression of ideas feel disjointed. While there is an attempt to use signposting words like 'On the one hand' and 'Secondly', the overall logical flow is hindered by these awkward transitions and some confusing sentence structures. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'total different experience' (should be 'totally different') and 'become more bold' (should be 'are strengthened' or 'are enhanced'). Spelling errors are also frequent, including 'univesity', 'therir', 'crcuial', 'heursitation', 'fluencey', and 'accodamation'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring correct spelling and collocations. Expanding your range of synonyms will also help avoid the repetitive use of basic terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Environment of overseas are'), incorrect word forms ('can spent time'), and missing articles or prepositions. Many sentences are poorly constructed, which makes them difficult to read. For example, 'I agree, with this view because the benefits are outweigh then the drawbacks' contains multiple errors in punctuation and grammar. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction.
