Student answer (Band 5.0)
Task 2 :
All university course should be include a period of time in abroad and do work placement.
On the one hand, university want students to study in abroad so that they can able learn new skills and this will help them to get placement. Students also get better opportunity to work in big companies and gain about culture followed in international countries. Furthermore, student who have potential encourage by their work. students who get chance to study abroad get good placement in their career.
On the other hand, people facing much difficulties during study in abroad, and not all the family able to afford budget for children to send them abroad for higher study this cause trouble for family. Instead of that government have to step regarding this issue. If foreign companies give scholarship it would be possible for student belonged to background family.
According to my opinion student should be sent by university according to their rank so that this will encourage other student to work hard regarding their study. this will also give chance to explore culture of foreign country and develop new skill.
Government and Universities have to take step combinedly regarding this issue so that students get rid from this upcoming problems, and able to fulfill their dreams. For example, if foreign university can grant their approval to open branches in India this will really helpful for all students study foreign courses.
In conclusion, disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and disadvantage of this topic are too grate to ignore.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of mandatory study abroad or work placements. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes repetitive. While you present a position, the conclusion contradicts the body paragraphs, as you argue for the benefits in the body but conclude that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages without sufficient justification. The ideas are often stated rather than fully extended or supported with specific, concrete examples. To improve, ensure your conclusion aligns with your main arguments and provide more depth to your reasoning regarding the financial and logistical challenges mentioned.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Instead of that' and 'According to my opinion'. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the transition between the benefits and the financial challenges. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the logical flow between sentences is hindered by grammatical errors. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that contributes to the overall argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'study in abroad' and 'get placement'. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'background family' and 'take step combinedly'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common or idiomatic language. To improve, focus on learning collocations (e.g., 'financial constraints' instead of 'budget trouble') and using more precise academic terminology to express your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout the essay, including subject-verb agreement issues ('university want', 'student who have potential encourage'), missing articles, and incorrect preposition usage ('in abroad'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors that impede clarity. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs agree with their subjects and that articles are used correctly. Reducing the number of errors in simple sentences is a priority before attempting more complex structures.
