Student answer (Band 5.0)
In world all university undergraduate courses should include period of spend time in studying abroad or doing a job placement so I discussed both opinions about this statement. Some people think that all the University students spend time some time in studying or doing a job placement. I believe that the advantages of this work are greater than disadvantages. The main advantage is that students can learn many new skills like, computer course, cooking course, health course, makeup course, embroidery course, stitching course and they learn many skills . They can talk with people from other countries. This help them become confidence and independence . They meet new peoples and they can watched many countries. This experience is very useful for their future job like, because companies people who have experience for skills. I would like to talk about Second advantage about a work placement. When students learn work in a company during their studies. For example: like, I discussed my relevant opinion. My some relevant are some time spend in studying and some relevant doing a job. Which people are in studying abroad they are leaning new speak and watching new countries so which relevant doing a job they are learn new work and new speak.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly, the arguments provided are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the list of skills like 'makeup course' or 'stitching course' is not relevant to a university-level context, and the explanation of how these experiences benefit future employment is underdeveloped. To improve, you must expand on your points with specific examples and ensure the response meets the length requirement to allow for a fully developed argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no proper paragraphing, and the flow of ideas is disjointed. While you attempt to use transition words like 'The main advantage' and 'Second advantage', the connection between sentences is often weak or confusing. For example, the final paragraph is difficult to follow due to repetitive phrasing and a lack of logical progression. To improve, focus on using one paragraph for each main idea and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one using a wider variety of cohesive devices.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, which hinders the expression of complex ideas. You rely on basic words like 'skills', 'work', and 'new'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'watched many countries' instead of 'visited many countries' or 'leaning new speak' instead of 'learning a new language'. To achieve a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and collocations that are appropriate for a formal essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'companies people who have experience' and 'they are leaning new speak'. Sentence structures are mostly simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the misuse of commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and practicing the use of complex structures like relative clauses and conditional sentences.
