Student answer (Band 6.0)
The growing prevalence of international education and work experience has prompted closer examination of its implications for individuals and society as a whole. All education institutes should allocate some time for abroad studies or pursue work placement to their students. Although this statement has some disadvantages, the positive effects have more value. This is primarily based on the fact that can equip individuals with valuable knowledge and improving their employment prospects. This essay will discuss both the advantages and disadvantages before reaching a reasoned conclusion.
One of the substantial benefits of studying abroad is that exposure to significant knowledge and skills. This is largely because students experience curriculum on a global level. In particular, students can equip themselves with culturally diverse information. For example: a student who has completed his education from a culturally diverse nation like United States of America is more likely to adapt in international market than someone who only has exposure to single culture. This illustrates that living in racially different society will spread awareness about other cultures. Therefore, students should go to abroad for studies.
A further consideration is that better employment opportunities. The underlying reason is that access to international workforce. This is particularly relevant when students have placement or internship experience from globally recognised universities and associations. Consequently, enable graduates to compete in multinational businesses such a GOOGLE, Apple and so on, which can have significant implications for individuals.
Admittedly, it could be argued that foreign education has legitimate disadvantages. This perspective has some validity, particularly because of unequal access to these opportunities for disadvantages people. However, it fails to take into account benefits international studies.
Therefore, although abroad study or work placement has some exacerbate points, I believe that the benefits are more highlighting.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the benefits are discussed with examples, the disadvantages section is underdeveloped and lacks specific supporting evidence. The essay mentions 'unequal access' as a disadvantage but fails to elaborate on how this impacts the feasibility of the proposal. To reach a higher band, you should provide a more balanced exploration of the counter-arguments, ensuring that both sides of the debate are supported with sufficient detail and logical reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In particular', 'Therefore', and 'A further consideration', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the connection between sentences is weak, such as in the second paragraph where the jump between 'global curriculum' and 'culturally diverse information' could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, but the overall flow would benefit from more varied and sophisticated linking phrases.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'prevalence', 'implications', and 'multinational'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'exacerbate points' (instead of 'drawbacks') and 'benefits are more highlighting' (instead of 'more significant'). Additionally, there are minor errors in word form, such as 'disadvantages people' instead of 'disadvantaged people'. To improve, focus on using collocations more accurately and expanding your range of academic vocabulary to express complex ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the United States of America'), prepositions ('go to abroad'), and sentence fragments ('For example: a student...'). Some sentences are also missing verbs or have incorrect subject-verb agreement, such as 'consequently, enable graduates' (which lacks a subject). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
