Student answer (Band 6.0)
University,is termed as one of the best experiences in a person's life as it not only helps in developing a person's career but also helps shapen a person's personality and character particularly when it comes to undergradutes.
Undergraduates, are the one who are new to the professional environment so for their professional and character development its necessary that they should be provided with every kind of facility so that they can excel in their lives. For this, every public and private university should try to include particular courses that would allow students to go abroad especially for the high achievers,or a work placement opportunity should be given to them making it easy for students to professionally excel and achieve high goals.
If we talk about moving abroad, through this advantage, students can easily explore the world, including multiple countries, their culture, learning about new civilizations, traditions and new career opportunities for themselves making them more confident, strong and motivated within their lives which will lead them towards success not only in their career but in their character and personality development which is also the most major part of life.
But,if public and private universities can definitely not afford sending every high achiever abroad, they should offer them a secure work placement, within the country so that these hard working students should not feel demotivated or depressed, rather they should feel enlighten that their hard work has been paid off ,making them feel valuable and motivated.
Even if we talk about Pakistan, every year millions of graduates are leaving the country and moving abroad just because of unemployment, and not having enough facilities and opportunities ,making them feel depressed and demotivated, and thats why the youth does not want to live here anymore, which is extremely harmful for a country's development and economy as well.
So,if these opportunities are offered to students why would they leave the country?and why would they not work for country's betterment, when they are facilited by their own government, making them feel more valuable?
So,its recommended that every country should provide these facilities to their undergraduate students, helping them achieve their goals, and for the future betterment of their own country. So that no youth should be looking for permenant settlement in any other country rather they should be willing in going abroad for learning and coming back to their own state for serving their own country as their country was the one who invested on them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages of study abroad and work placements. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While you clearly support the idea, the argument focuses heavily on the Pakistani context in the latter half, which limits the global scope of the discussion. The position is clear throughout, but the ideas could be more balanced by explicitly addressing potential disadvantages (e.g., financial costs or logistical challenges) to provide a more nuanced argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that all parts of the prompt are explored with equal depth and that the focus remains on the general principle rather than a specific national case study.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'So' and 'if' to start sentences. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and some transitions between paragraphs feel abrupt. While the overall structure is coherent, the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and phrases to connect ideas more fluidly. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be tighter to ensure each point leads naturally to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'professional environment', 'civilizations', and 'betterment'. However, there are instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'shapen a person's personality' (should be 'shape') and 'feel enlighten' (should be 'enlightened'). Some vocabulary is repetitive, and there is a lack of more sophisticated, academic collocations. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure that word forms are used correctly in context. The current range is sufficient to convey meaning, but lacks the precision required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent errors in punctuation, particularly with comma placement (e.g., 'University,is termed' and 'Undergraduates, are the one'). There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage. While these errors do not generally impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence punctuation and proofreading for common grammatical slips. Increasing the variety of complex structures while maintaining accuracy will help elevate your score in this criterion.
