Student answer (Band 6.0)
MOST OF THE PUBLIC INSTITUTION BACHELOR'S COURSES SHOULD INVOLVE A SPECIFIC TIME TO SPEND PART OF THEIR STUDIES IN THE INTERNATIONAL COUNTRIES OR WORKING AS AN INTERN IN AN INTERNATIONAL MARKET. I THINK THESE FACILITIES HAVE MORE PROS THEN CONS.
ON THE ONE HAND, THE BENEFITS OF STUDYING IN DIFFERENT NATION CAN HELP A STUDENT TO UNDERSTAND THE MULTIPLE ASPECTS SUCH AS DIFFERENT CULTURE, LANGUAGE AND LIFESTYLE. IT WILL ALSO HELP THE STUDENTS TO TACKLE THE VARIOUS PROBLEMS BY APPLYING DIFFERENT APPROACHES LIKE LIVING WITHOUT FAMILY, ADJUSTING THEIR FINANCES WELL AND ALSO COOKING FOR THEMSELVES WHICH SERVE AS BASIC LIFE SKILL. THEY ALSO GET TO LEARN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO BETTER COMMUNICATION AND UNDERSTANDING. FOR INSTANCE, STUDENTS GET INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE BY STUDYING IN THE INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT WITH DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS . IT HELPS THEM TO ENHANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ABOUT DIFFERENT WORLD RATHER THAN JUST LIMITED TO THEIR OWN.
MOREOVER, WORKING IN AN INTERNATIONAL COMPANY CAN ALSO HELP THEM TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE AS GLOBALLY WHICH MIGHT BE NOT POSSIBLE IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY. ALTHOUGH WORKING AND GAINING EXPERIENCE FROM THE FOREIGN ORGANISATION BUILTS CONFIDENCE IN THEM AS WELL AS CONTRIBUTES TO THEIR BRIGHT FUTURE. FOR EPITOME, A GRADUATE WITH INTERNATIONAL DEGREE AS WELL AS JOB EXPERIENCE CAN GET MUCH MORE PREFERENCE THAN A STUDENT WHO DOESN'T HAVE .
IN CONTRAST, THERE ARE SOME DISADVANTAGES TOO. STUDENTS MAY BE NOT WILLING TO COME BACK TO THEIR HOME COUNTRY AFTER LIVING A DIFFERENT LIFE. ADDITIONALLY, SOME OF THE STUDENTS MAY FEEL HOMESICKNESS AND FEEL ILL. BUT IN MY OPINION THESE MINOR DRAWBACKS CAN BE ADJUSTABLE BY APPLYING SOME OF THE PROPER SOLUTIONS.
IN CONCLUSION, THE ADVANTAGE OF PROVIDING UNDERGRADUATES AN INTERNATIONAL ATMOSPHERE OF LEARNING, HAVE MULTIPLE BENEFITS LIKE KNOWING AND LEARNING CULTURE,LANGUAGE AND LIFESTYLES. DESPITE OF SOME ISSUES WHICH CAN BE MANAGEABLE BY PROPER GUIDANCE.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating a position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, covering personal development, life skills, and career prospects. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding 'real life experience' in international companies is mentioned but not fully explained or supported with concrete detail. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, restating points rather than synthesising the argument. To reach a higher band, the student should provide more specific examples or deeper analysis of how these experiences translate into long-term benefits for graduates, rather than listing general advantages.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'Moreover,' and 'In contrast' are used to signal shifts in the argument. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'For epitome' (an incorrect collocation for 'For example'). Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the transition between the benefits and the drawbacks could be more sophisticated to improve the overall progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'international exposure' and 'foreign organisation.' However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'pros then cons' (should be 'pros and cons'), 'international countries' (redundant), and 'homesickness' used as a countable noun. The phrase 'For epitome' is also incorrect. While the range is sufficient to communicate the main points, the lack of precision and the presence of these errors limit the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'students may be not willing' (should be 'may not be willing'), 'builds confidence' (subject-verb agreement error with 'working and gaining'), and 'despite of' (should be 'despite' or 'in spite of'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are issues with capitalization (the entire essay is in uppercase) and minor errors in article usage. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score.
