Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many universities are there providing work placement and give a short period of time to study abroad. I believe that advantages outweigh the disadvantages for this statement that i will justify the advantages in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, some university undergraduate courses should provide a short period of time because by this advantage some students can build up their confidence by working and get to know about other countries. Moreover, enhance a lot of expierence and skills also. They can earn money for their daily expenses by workplacement in a short period of time. Individuals can also certified for any work such as some companies want only expierenced employees so students can also get a expierence if they work in short period of time and easily get placement in some companies.
Secondly, there are many disadvantages also for this statement. Students will distracted from their studies and will get attracted towards the money. If get distraction once from study then it is very difficult to continue and they also forget all syllabus and just blank their mind. Furthermore, once student attract towards a money then he think easily to drop their study which is doing in present or past they think then we earn easily by small business or anything else so study is enough. But they don't known about future if we have degree in our hand so we have a lot of options to apply in companies at abroad or our country only skills are not matter all the time.
To conclusion, the statement have a lot of advantage but some students think in wrong way also.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of including study abroad or work placements in undergraduate courses, attempting a clear position. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the discussion on advantages mentions building confidence and gaining experience, but these points remain somewhat undeveloped and rely on general statements rather than specific elaboration. Similarly, the disadvantages focus heavily on financial distraction without exploring other potential drawbacks like academic overload or financial burden. While all parts of the task are addressed, the lack of fully extended ideas places this response firmly at Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a brief conclusion, which provides a basic organisational structure. However, progression is somewhat impaired by abrupt transitions and awkward referencing. For example, expressions like 'for this statement that i will justify' and 'To conclusion' demonstrate inadequate control over cohesive devices. Paragraphing is attempted, but the third paragraph awkwardly clumps multiple disparate thoughts together regarding distraction and future degrees. Referencing pronouns such as 'they' and 'it' are frequently ambiguous, making it difficult for the reader to follow the exact logical thread. These features are characteristic of Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The student attempts some less common vocabulary items such as 'workplacement', 'expierence', and 'undergraduate courses', but suffers from frequent spelling errors ('expierence', 'distracted' versus 'distraction', 'known' instead of 'know') and faulty word forms ('certified for any work', 'attract towards a money'). Vocabulary choice is often repetitive, relying heavily on words like 'study', 'work', and 'money'. While the intended meaning is usually recoverable, these noticeable errors and limited lexical range align with the Band 5 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty and fraught with grammatical errors. Sentences often lack basic structural integrity, such as 'Many universities are there providing work placement and give a short period of time to study abroad.' There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, tense consistency ('if we have degree', 'skills are not matter'), and preposition use. Punctuation is also weak, with run-on sentences lacking appropriate boundaries. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
