Student answer (Band 5.0)

The unparallel significance of education along with employment cannot be refuted as it has close relevance to our daily lives. All institutes curiculum should incorporate the period of further studies abroad and employment under thier supervision as it may leads to several benifits. Although this method has certain drawbacks, I strongly believe that the advantages outweight the disadvantages in this case.

One of the major advantages this trend offer is the exposure with experience that is esssential for working with assosiations. Having suitable experiance required for a relevant job mitigates the gap between the graduation and unemployement for students. As extra courses at universities already perpared students for jobmarket by giving them exposure for thier future professsional life.

Moreover, extra lectures provided by institutes also provide significant benifits for students who want to study abroad. These lectures can facilitate students with the relevant information and guidence needed for the next procedure for thier higher studies.

In spite of this, there are some negative consequences that are needed to address. Firstly, extra lectures for future studies and employment can bring workload on students as there are already several assesments they are bound to do. In a meanwhile, students have to learn several aspect of thier course work, an extra course will leads them to fell more pressure and stress.

in conclusion, while these courses have certain drawbacks such as stress ans workload, it also benifits students in terms of experience and exposure are more significant. Therefor, I believe advantages are

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether studying abroad or doing work placements should be mandatory in undergraduate courses, and whether advantages outweigh disadvantages. The writer takes a clear position in the introduction that advantages outweigh disadvantages. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat superficial and repetitive, particularly regarding the benefits of exposure and experience. Crucially, the length requirement has not been met: the response contains 249 words, falling one word short of the 250-word minimum, and also cuts off incomplete at the very end ('Therefor, I believe advantages are'). This incomplete ending and minor under-length constraint pull the task response down, aligning best with a Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, which aids overall structure, though the final conclusion is abruptly truncated. Logical progression is attempted with cohesive devices such as 'One of the major advantages', 'Moreover', and 'In spite of this'. However, referencing is sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices can feel mechanical or repetitive ('extra lectures', 'extra courses'). Paragraphing is generally observable, but the lack of a fully realized concluding sentence disrupts the natural flow. Overall, the organizational framework meets the criteria for Band 5.0, where some progression is evident, but cohesive management is inconsistent.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student demonstrates a limited but minimally adequate vocabulary for the task, attempting words such as 'curiculum', 'incorporate', and 'mitigates'. However, there are frequent spelling errors throughout the response, including 'unparallel' (unparallelled), 'benifits' (benefits), 'thier' (their), 'assosiations' (associations), 'experiance' (experience), 'unemployement' (unemployment), 'perpared' (prepared), 'professsional' (professional), 'guidence' (guidance), 'assesments' (assessments), 'aspect' (aspects), and 'Therefor' (Therefore). These noticeable errors and misspellings cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a vocabulary range typical of a Band 5.0 score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as concessive clauses using 'Although' and 'while'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak throughout. There are numerous errors in subject-verb agreement and word forms, including 'All institutes curiculum should incorporate' (Institute curricula should), 'it may leads' (it may lead), 'the exposure with experience that is esssential' (exposure to experience that is essential), 'will leads them to fell more pressure' (will lead them to feel more pressure), and 'stress ans workload' (stress and workload). Because attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty and errors recur across the text, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
