Student answer (Band 5.0)

Every student should have t spend their time either studying abroad or work in organisation as a part of their university courses.both view have there advantegos and drwaback .we disscus both in coming eassy .

studying abroad is goog thing but not for everyone .some students who com from poor backgrounds may no get certification from university is this is complusery.it also have some good aspect such as studying abroad give you a chance to leaen about new culture how to adjust with different environment.and also help you in carreer opportunites.i belived that universities add this as choice but not as complusery because the disadvantegous overly their benefiths for a proportions of students .

on the other hand finding job is easy for every one but it help you to gain real lofe experience and helping students after their graduation for getting job from my perspective universities must add this as an complusery thing before degree for various programs which help students in future.for example a studdent studying business if he/she gain their practical experince before graduations it may open a lot of opportunities for them, having an experience along degree make life mush easier in comparison with who don't have. having experiance before degree outweight the all draw backs.

in conslusion i belive that studying abroad is'nt cup of tea for everyone because of expense but having experiance before degree is such you have all basic requriment. so universites need to add in their course studying abroad as an optional but having work certificate is complusery.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad and work placements, and states a clear personal position that work placements should be compulsory while studying abroad should remain optional. Ideas are presented and supported with examples, such as a business student gaining practical experience. However, some arguments remain somewhat generalised and under-developed, particularly regarding the financial barriers of studying abroad. The writer attempts to cover both facets of the prompt, satisfying the main requirements. For instance, the comment 'a studdent studying business if he/she gain their practical experince before graduations it may open a lot of opportunities' demonstrates an attempt to support ideas with relevant scenarios. This performance fits comfortably within Band 5.0 descriptors, as it addresses the task and offers a clear position, though development remains somewhat limited.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5

The response is organised into distinct paragraphs, attempting an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, overall progression is hindered by frequent structural and mechanical issues. Cohesive devices are minimal and often misused or absent, such as starting sentences with lowercase letters and stringing clauses together without adequate punctuation. For example, 'Every student should have t spend their time either studying abroad or work in organisation as a part of their university courses.both view have there advantegos and drwaback .we disscus both in coming eassy .' shows faulty sentence boundaries and poor referencing. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is weak. Pronoun referencing is frequently unclear, and transitional phrases are sparse, leading to a choppy reading experience. These features align closely with Band 4.5 to 5.0, where organisation is visible but progression and cohesive control are significantly lacking.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses a limited and repetitive range of vocabulary, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally cause strain for the reader. Examples of spelling and lexical inaccuracies include 'advantegos' for advantages, 'drwaback' for drawbacks, 'eassy' for essay, 'complusery' for compulsory, and 'lofe' for life. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'certifications', 'career opportunities', and 'practical experience', these are undermined by persistent spelling mistakes ('complusery', 'studdent', 'requriment') and awkward collocations ('work in organisation', 'getting job'). The vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey basic ideas, placing it at Band 5.0, as errors in spelling and word choice are noticeable and impede smooth communication at times.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The writing demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty, characterized by run-on sentences, comma splices, and a lack of proper punctuation and capitalization. For instance, 'studying abroad is goog thing but not for everyone .some students who com from poor backgrounds may no get certification from university is this is complusery.' contains multiple basic errors in agreement, tense, and clause connection. Subject-verb agreement is frequently broken, and articles are often omitted. Punctuation is largely neglected, with missing capital letters at the start of sentences and misuse of apostrophes (e.g., 'is'nt'). These pervasive grammatical inaccuracies and the lack of error-free complex sentences place the grammar score firmly at Band 4.5.
