Student answer (Band 4.5)

All institute undergraudate route should append a period of time spent education overseas or doing a work placement.Numerous individuals believe that all university courses should contain a period of time spent studying abroad or undertaking work experience. Although this policy has some drawbacks, I believe it offers significant educational benefits through work experience that clearly outweigh the disadvantages.

on the other hand, all university are undergradute are accept but are people are very good experience for university experience. so, I think many university are accept but some university are not accept but people are not prepare for university interview . so , I think some people is undergradute student should be planning to study abraod. Some people have ,any course for undergradute but student arew accept good marks gain in intermedicate and the many university are accept for admission letter. so some student time spend in university but some people is planning admission letter accept and working for you other countries. but some countries are very difficult for approval visa for study abroad and many student plan to study abroad for new experience and new people talk you and some time are spend for study in the future and university are accept for admission letter.

on the other hand, some is planning to study abroad for future in working experience is high but good job is accept for me and relaxing or comfortable . so I think the people is working for a good placement and the work was very easy and salary are good. but some people are accept for working in future plans and the countries is very easy to deliver the working card than people is easy work in your country.

In the conslcusions, lthough requiring undergraduates to study abroad or undertake work placements involves certain practical difficulties, the long-term advantages for students' academic, personal, and professional development are far more significant.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the task prompt regarding whether studying abroad or doing work placements should be included in undergraduate courses. The writer outlines a position in the introduction and conclusion, stating that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However, the body paragraphs struggle significantly with clarity, development, and logical extension. The second and third body paragraphs contain a large amount of repetitive and disjointed argumentation, making it difficult to follow specific supporting ideas. While the prompt is acknowledged, the ideas are under-developed and lack the depth expected for higher bands, placing this performance at Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

Regarding coherence and cohesion, the response is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression within the body paragraphs is severely disrupted by confusing transitions, abrupt shifts in focus, and repetitive phrasing (such as 'so, I think many university are accept'). Cohesive devices are either misused or overused inappropriately, creating a mechanical and hard-to-follow flow. Paragraphing is attempted, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but the internal organisation of the body paragraphs lacks a clear, unified progression of ideas. These structural weaknesses align with a Band 4.5 to 5.0, rounded to 5.0 based on the presence of basic paragraphing.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The lexical range is quite limited and repetitive. The student relies heavily on basic vocabulary and fundamental errors in word choice, such as 'institute undergraudate route should append a period of time spent education overseas' instead of education, and frequent misuse of 'accept' and 'approve'. There are also noticeable spelling and word formation errors (e.g., 'undergraudate', 'abraod', 'intermedicate', 'conslcusions'). These lexical inadequacies and frequent inaccuracies cause noticeable difficulty for the reader and restrict the score to a Band 4.5, rounded to 4.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammatical range is extremely limited, consisting mostly of faulty attempts at complex sentences joined by coordinating conjunctions or repetitive connectors like 'so' and 'but'. There is a high frequency of grammatical errors, including severe subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'some people is undergradute student should be planning'), tense confusion, and fragment sentences. These persistent errors frequently distort meaning and create significant strain for the reader. Control of basic punctuation and sentence structure is weak throughout the body of the text.
