Student answer (Band 5.0)
In my opinion all university undergraduate cources should include a period of time spent studying out of country or do work placement.
There are certain advantages for all undergraduate students to move abroad for exploring some different cource. I think its benificial for students to provide such opportunities to explore internationaly in marvellous universities. They can improve their experimental techniques by working in word class labortaries where all necessory equipment, chemicals additionaly tools relating to their research work is available toeveryone access. Students should apply to attend different conferences, semiars as well as internships in this way they can discover more about different cultures, local markets and food stalls of significant variety. Moreover it can make them more independent and splendid opportunities for better future to stable them. Its best for building confidence and devotion for work. they learn more techniques in their field by interacting poeple from differnt oarts of the world. Its good for improving their conversation abilities.
Despite of many advantages it have some drawbacks too. It can enhance burden on middle class families. for instance, to move abroad requires plan tickets, residence, food expenditures. Lot of time is needed to take appoinments from embassy and visa. Passport formation also take time. Besides this, for attending two days wworkshop you may waste one or more week. its really hard to take break from work.
I would recommend after completing graduation one must try to get job in other country to learn and earn more in the Asian or european country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of studying abroad or doing a work placement during an undergraduate degree, taking a general stance that the advantages outweigh the drawbacks. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat superficial. For example, points regarding world-class laboratories, local markets, and food stalls are mentioned without sufficient extension or supporting explanation. The conclusion slightly drifts from the prompt by focusing on post-graduation plans rather than undergraduate courses. These shortcomings place the response at Band 5.5, as it addresses all parts of the task but some ideas remain underdeveloped and the position, while discernible, lacks consistent depth throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates some overall organization, opening with an introductory opinion and attempting to separate advantages and disadvantages into distinct sections. However, paragraphing is problematic; the second paragraph is an overly long, unstructured block of text that crams together multiple disparate ideas, ranging from lab equipment to food stalls and independence. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or inaccurate, such as using 'Besides this' and abrupt transitions between sentences, resulting in a lack of clear progression. While the general topic flow is understandable, referencing is frequently unclear, aligning the text closely with the Band 5 descriptor for Coherence and Cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate to communicate basic ideas, featuring some attempts at less common words such as 'experimental techniques', 'internationaly', and 'expenditures'. However, there are numerous spelling errors ('cources', 'benificial', 'internationaly', 'labortaries', 'necessory', 'semiars', 'wworkshop') and awkward word choices ('stable them', 'plan tickets', 'waste one or more week'). These errors occasionally impede the reader and demonstrate limited control over word formation and collocation, which is indicative of a Band 5.0 lexical level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical control is weak throughout. There are frequent errors in punctuation, capitalization, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions, such as 'In my opinion all university undergraduate cources should...', 'it have some drawbacks', and 'Passport formation also take time.' Run-on sentences and missing articles frequently disrupt the flow of reading. Although some basic sentences are formed correctly, the high frequency of errors across simple and complex structures prevents the essay from reaching Band 6, fitting comfortably into Band 5.0.
