Student answer (Band 5.0)
Every university undergraduate programme should provide students with an opportunity to study in another country. I completly agree that the advantages of this would completely outweight the disadvantages.
On the one hand, if universities starts providing chances of studing abroad will make there future bright and provide them better oppurtinities. For example, if a student had studied in another country then he/she will be more valuable the the students wo didn't study abroad, their communication skills will be boomed and they will have a better quality of knowledge.Furthermore, there will be higher job employment for those students who has completed there studies from different countries. Moreover, there will be a good effective feature for those students and they will be more respectable and will get wellpaid jobs.
On the other hand, if students travell for studies to different countries then there will be no one for there care, they have to take care of them self properly and should keep them self healty to maintain there studies well without any gap, because if they don't. Scare them self properly will result in poor health and sickness which effect there studies. Nevertheless, they have to live away from there family and friends, the students miss a lot to there parents and siblings.
In conclusion, there are many benifits of of studing in abroad if every university provide students opportunities, this opportunities will help students to shape there future in better way and can have great job availibility and can have higher value. But there are some drawbacks also which they has to live alone and takecare of themselfs and live without family members. Somehow advantages are higher than disadvantages

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the task, taking a clear position that the advantages completely outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, such as mentioning career opportunities and better communication skills, but they tend to be repetitive and under-developed due to a lack of specific, elaborated examples. For instance, the discussion on disadvantages mentions students being away from family and experiencing sickness, but these points are expressed in a simplistic and convoluted manner. While the overall stance is maintained throughout, the lack of depth and tendency to over-generalise place this performance firmly within the Band 5 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some organisation. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the ideas within paragraphs often feel disjointed. Cohesive devices are used, but they are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive, such as the frequent reliance on 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'Nevertheless'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the grouping of ideas is weak, particularly in the body paragraphs where health issues and homesickness are awkwardly lumped together. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as 'if universities starts providing chances of studing abroad will make there future bright', resulting in a score that aligns with Band 5.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by numerous spelling errors such as 'completly', 'outweight', 'starts', 'studing', 'oppurtinities', 'wo', 'boomed', 'has', 'there', 'travell', 'self', 'healty', 'effect', 'benifits', 'of of', 'availibility', and 'takecare'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary like 'opportunities' and 'employment', but inaccurate word forms and spelling errors—such as 'wellpaid' and 'there' used instead of 'their' or 'they're'—cause noticeable difficulty for the reader throughout the text. This demonstrates a limited range of vocabulary with frequent errors fitting the Band 4 to Band 5 profile, leaning toward Band 4 due to the high density of basic spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but the sentences containing complex structures are almost always faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('if universities starts'), incorrect pronoun usage ('take care of them self', 'scare them self properly'), and run-on sentences ('maintain there studies well without any gap, because if they don't'). Punctuation is also weak, with missing commas and incorrect spacing. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from achieving a Band 6, fulfilling the criteria for Band 5.
