Student answer (Band 5.0)
All undergraduate institutions subjects should incorporate a certain time to study in foreign countries or working a job placement. From my perspective, benefits of this advancement are more than its benefits. In following passages I will elaborate it.
To begin with the learners who have chance in their bachelors or masters programmes to parsue their semster in other countries, will be given more acadamic exploration. When ther learner study with the other countries students ,they will perform the an experiment the same way as other do and it will definitely improve thier acadamics, students will also learn new things from their syllabus.Furthermore, students will get the exposure to new culture and language, it will definitely shape their ability to understand the language. As culture has significant effect on person ,students will easily adjust in new places and new cultures after that exposure. For instance, one of my cousin went to USA in culture exchange progammes, when she came back Pakistan she was a quite different person as her thougts were bit more modern and she was speaking English fluently.
Moreover, incorporation of learners into the some work or employment has much more advantages. In addition, the learners are exposed to practical work instead reading books it will help them to be successful in practical life. After graduation a prominent number of students who only took thier studies serious instead of experiencing workload and learning how to earn money. As learners who usually work by getting chance to do internships from universties mostly have more socual connections these help them in practical life. While, having break from formal study employment and semseter exchange period in foreign is more beneficial.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The student attempts to address the prompt regarding whether studying abroad or doing a work placement should be included in undergraduate courses, and whether advantages outweigh disadvantages. A position is presented, stating that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the explanation regarding academic exploration is vague ('will be given more acadamic exploration') and the discussion on work placements relies heavily on general assertions rather than fully developed arguments. The example of the cousin studying in the USA is provided to support the cultural point, but overall, the task response suffers from underdeveloped ideas and slight vagueness in addressing the counter-side of the prompt. This performance aligns with Band 5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure with the use of basic linking phrases such as 'To begin with' and 'Moreover'. However, there is a clear lack of smooth overall progression and paragraphing is poorly managed. The final paragraph combines multiple distinct ideas—work placements, graduate employment, social connections, and a summary thought—into a single congested block of text without adequate separation. Furthermore, cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or awkward, such as 'In following passages I will elaborate it' and 'While, having break from formal study employment...'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear. These features point strongly to Band 5.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student demonstrates a limited range of vocabulary that is minimally adequate for the task. There are frequent spelling errors throughout the essay, such as 'acadamic', 'thier', 'acadamics', 'progammes', 'thougts', and 'socual'. Word choice and collocations are often unnatural or imprecise, such as 'working a job placement', 'parsue their semster', and 'experiencing workload'. While the writer attempts some less common terms like 'incorporation' and 'cultural exchange', the numerous lexical errors and spelling mistakes cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the text from achieving a higher band, placing it solidly at Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to grammatical inaccuracies and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'When ther learner study with the other countries students ,they will perform the an experiment the same way as other do'). There are also missing articles, incorrect prepositions, and subject-verb agreement errors ('benefits of this advancement are more than its benefits'). Although communication is generally maintained despite the errors, the frequency of grammatical mistakes and punctuation errors places this response into the Band 5 category.
