Student answer (Band 4.5)

These days, it seems that student in large proportion pursuing there further studies overseas in different countries and enrolling into varieties of universites and choosing different courses on the basis of there own intrests but its observed that specifically students who are taking undergraduate courses ,facing difficulties in getting a sort period of time to spent in abroad and in employment placements

also.

So generally, there are different opinions ,pros and cons for this issue.Meanwhile i would like to kept my opinion for this topic. since last few years there is sharp drop in the numbers of univeristies admissions for internation students because the reason behind this drop is lack of work placements after completing undergraduate course some pals dont want to get enroll in graduate courses after accomplishing there undergraduate courses because the tution fees of some universites is very high which led them to look for work placement with there undergraduate qualification and in results they find lack of opportunites every position is demanding higher postgraduates ,Master degrees so in this particular case we have to either give them a period of time where they spent in studing graduates program otherwise the universites should have to give those students work placement on basis of there undergraduate degree

But still there is some Benefits and disadvantages also the benefits which l comes out like:

1)More placement for international student

2)Incline in number of there admission

3)good amount of opportunites for those with undergraduates degree

and few more but in addition to these there are some cons:

1)Value of postgraduates courses become less

2)students will only look for undergratuates degree

and few more

so in conclude to this topic i would like to reaffirm my position and on basis of my knowledge both the perspective has its own pros and cons but universities have to give work placement who dont want to pursue with higher courses on other side if any pal wants to continue with post graduates course then they might have to give them a good amount of time to study in abroad.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether undergraduate courses should include studying abroad or work placements, but the development of ideas is heavily confused and tangents are introduced. The writer loses focus on the core debate and instead veers into discussions about university admissions drops and tuition fees. While a position is stated, the arguments are underdeveloped and repetitive. Phrases like 'in conclude to this topic i would like to reaffirm my position' show an attempt to structure the content, but the actual substance falls short of fully exploring the advantages and disadvantages of the specific proposition in the prompt. This performance aligns with Band 5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The essay lacks clear logical progression and adequate paragraphing. The text relies heavily on numbered lists within the body paragraphs (e.g., '1) More placement for international student') rather than prose development and cohesive transitions. Sentences are run-on, and punctuation is largely ignored, leading to a sprawling wall of text that is difficult to navigate. Referencing is weak, with repetitive connectors like 'also' and 'and few more' substituting for formal cohesive devices. Paragraph structure is chaotic, violating basic academic standards. These issues severely impede the flow of information, placing the response firmly at Band 4.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

Vocabulary usage is basic, repetitive, and marred by frequent spelling and word-choice errors. The student repeatedly misspells common words, such as 'universites' instead of universities, 'intrests' instead of interests, 'tution' instead of tuition, and 'univeristies' instead of universities. Informal or inappropriate phrasing, such as using 'pals' instead of students or peers, also detracts from the academic register. The range of vocabulary is limited to everyday terms, and collocation errors are widespread (e.g., 'looked for work placement with there undergraduate qualification'). The errors frequently strain the reader's comprehension, corresponding to a Band 4.0 level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the response. The text consists largely of extremely long, unpunctuated run-on sentences that tie multiple independent clauses together incorrectly with conjunctions like 'and' or commas. There is a near-total absence of correct punctuation and capitalization. Frequent errors include subject-verb agreement issues, incorrect prepositions ('spent in abroad' instead of spent abroad), and homophone confusion ('there' instead of their). Complex sentence structures are attempted, but they are consistently faulty and obscure the intended meaning. This frequent breakdown in grammar places the response at Band 4.0.
