If universities include a period of time doing work placement, the youth should work through online platforms or workplace. In this way, they improve their skills and build confidence level.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses all parts of the task by stating a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Ideas such as gaining practical experience, improving skills, and building confidence are introduced, but their development is limited and somewhat repetitive. For example, the point about gaining practical experience is mentioned multiple times without expanding into deeper analysis regarding studying abroad specifically. The position is generally clear throughout, but the reasoning lacks robust elaboration and tends to over-generalise. Therefore, this performance aligns closely with the Band 6 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, though paragraphing within the body is somewhat haphazard and ideas are occasionally grouped confusingly. Cohesive devices are used, but they are frequently mechanical or misused (such as 'moreover', 'that's why I am agree', and 'furthermore'). Referencing can also be unclear, as pronouns occasionally lack a precise antecedent. While logical progression is attempted, the faulty use of cohesive devices and repetitive linking words place this essay firmly at Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases like 'professional life' and 'work placement'. However, there are noticeable word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'I am agree' (instead of agree), 'very substantially' (instead of substantial), and 'have many proficiency'. Spelling and word formation errors occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader. These limitations reflect the Band 5 descriptors, as the vocabulary is minimally adequate but features frequent lexical errors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
There is a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms attempted in the essay, such as conditional structures ('If universities include a period...'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, and sentence structures. Examples include 'time spend studying' instead of 'time spent', 'the jobs demand experience is compulsory', and 'the student go for studying'. These errors occur throughout the text and cause some difficulty for the reader, though communication of the main ideas is generally maintained, matching the Band 5 criteria.
