Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often argued that undergraduate courses should be introduce to study abraod or work placement schemes.overall, it explains that undergraduate should go for study abroad or they should focus on job placements.Focusing on the study abroad or doing job completely depends on the candidates interest however, goin for work placement after the universities gives an advantage for the candidates to experience the real world work ethics it gives tem an opportunity to focus on their practical knowledge rather than focusing on the theoritical knowledge it also gives them a platfrm to express their ideas and innovative mind to excel in their field focusing on job placements aslo gives them a freedom of tuition fees and other expenses of a universities it allows the candiates to save their money, invest in trades or some other money benefit schemes apart from this job also ives confidence to the candidates to be standout in the market as it provide experience in their domain which will be helpful for them to excel in their careers.

In contrast, their also some disadvantages if a candidate directly goes for for a job with it might be difficult for the people to get their desire job as the job market is highly competative most of the companies require prior experience in the coperate world most of the freshers after graduation or during graduation are freshers they don't have any experience due to this reason they will ended to a job to which they are willing to workthis make them feel unpleasent and unhappy this leads to disaticfactory but this not the case for all fresher some getsvtheir dream jobs in which they have interest they get satisfied with their work life balance this happen very few most of the freshers don;t get their desire job.

In conclsion,i strongly believe studing abroad or work palcements for universities graduate both have its pro's and cons the is dependent on the candidate completely if the candidate wanna study want to gain more knowledge they should with study plan whereas, the candidate wants the industry experience and a career growth as early as possibe they should go with job plan.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially. While the student touches upon both sides of the argument regarding studying abroad and work placements, the position is not always clear or consistently maintained throughout the essay. Ideas are limited and under-developed, relying heavily on sweeping generalisations rather than fully supported extensions. For instance, the discussion on job placements mentions practical knowledge and financial freedom, but these points are expressed in a repetitive and superficial manner without specific examples. Similarly, the counterargument concerning the difficulties fresh graduates face in the competitive job market is introduced briefly but lacks sufficient elaboration. To reach a higher standard, the writer needs to ensure that every main idea is clearly stated, thoroughly expanded, and supported with relevant explanations or concrete examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation evident in the text, as the writer attempts to divide the response into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression, and the flow of ideas is frequently disrupted by poor structural formatting. Paragraphing is poorly handled, with the main body essentially crammed into two excessively long, block-like paragraphs that contain multiple shifts in topic without adequate breathing room. Furthermore, cohesive devices are inadequate, inaccurate, or overused, with sentences often strung together using repetitive conjunctions and missing appropriate transitional markers. Referencing is also unclear at times, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical development of arguments. Improving paragraphing discipline and using a wider, more accurate range of cohesive links would greatly enhance the overall clarity and structure.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic ideas about university courses and career paths. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items, such as 'innovative mind', 'coperate world', and 'disaticfactory', but these attempts are marred by noticeable errors in word form, spelling, and collocation. Words like 'abraod', 'theoritical', 'platfrm', 'competative', 'freshers', and 'conclsion' demonstrate frequent spelling inaccuracies. Additionally, phrasing is sometimes unnatural, such as 'will ended to a job to which they are willing to work'. While meaning is generally recoverable despite these issues, the recurrent errors in spelling and word choice cause some difficulty for the reader and restrict the score. To improve, the student should focus on accurate spelling, precise word forms, and natural collocations relevant to academic topics.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is quite limited, consisting mostly of very long, poorly punctuated run-on sentences that attempt complex structures but end up structurally faulty. The text suffers from a lack of proper punctuation, including missing full stops and capital letters, which creates massive comma splices and breathless sentence units like 'this make them feel unpleasent and unhappy this leads to disaticfactory'. There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions within grammatical patterns, such as 'courses should be introduce to study abraod', 'goin for work placement', and 'job ives confidence'. These frequent errors require the reader to decode the sentences and can cause significant difficulty in comprehension. To progress, the student must master basic sentence boundaries, punctuation, and reliable control of simple and complex sentence constructions.
