Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response addresses the task only partially and fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, stopping abruptly at 179 words. While the writer attempts to present a position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the mention of artificial intelligence and studying abroad is introduced briefly without sufficient extension or supporting examples, reflecting a minimal response to the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is some basic organization with initial attempts at paragraphing, such as using transitional phrases like 'On the onehand' and 'On the otherhand'. However, there is no clear overall progression as the essay ends mid-sentence. Cohesive devices are repetitive and basic, and referencing is occasionally unclear, which restricts the text from achieving a smooth flow of ideas throughout.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic points about education and career. There are noticeable errors in word form, spelling, and word choice, such as 'benefitial', 'undergraduted', 'feild', 'essantial', and 'built' instead of 'build'. These inaccuracies reflect a restricted lexical range that causes some difficulty for the reader at times.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing displays a very limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences, while attempts at complex sentence forms are frequently faulty. Frequent errors are present in subject-verb agreement, articles, and punctuation, such as 'Every universities should' and 'Although this seem to be benefitial as it advantages clearly outweigh'. These persistent errors cause noticeable difficulty and strain comprehension.
