Student answer (Band 6.0)

Every universities should include a specific time for undergraduted student in which they can have practical knowledge with their course, and also help them in studying abroad.. Although this seem to be benefitial as it advantages clearly outweigh the disadvantages.

On the onehand, student need to have a practical experience on every step because they have a right to experience what they are studying. And in most domains it is essantial, as after graduation students have to built their carrer, and without practical knowledge no campany will offer them a job. For example with the advancement of technology in current era, students must have knowledge about how artificial intelligence play role in their particular feild and this can be done only by training students in their undergraduate programs.

On the otherhand, institutes should organize projects which help students to explore new cultures and to learn about their feild more wisely, and this can be happen only when students have opportunity to spend some semesters of thier course in another country this can be benefitial for them, as different countries have different way of teaching. And students can learn lot more in different environment. For an instance, in the feild of medical lab technology every country have its own standard operating protocols, so student can seek new and better information when studying abroad and through that their skills improve more.

Beside its advantages their are few drawbacks of studing abroad, such as in private institutes their are limited number of scholarships and Students who wanted to study abroad is charged with heavy fees by their university, as the travel expense and research work require alot of money. Because of this undergraduted students who belong to middle class family may feel demotivated, as campare to those who can afford enough money to travel. so if this initiative is only for rich students, then it should not be followed in every university.

In concluding, both views advantages of this would outweigh it negative impacts, but it depends on a particular scenerio, which says that every students should be given opportunity to study and work abroad instead of that only referring rich students who can afford. Other than that it is clearly benefial for undergraduate student to gain practical knowledge and to spend period of time studying aborad during their course.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task and presents a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas presented are generally relevant, such as the necessity of practical knowledge for future careers and the benefits of experiencing diverse teaching methods abroad. However, some ideas are under-developed or touch upon secondary issues, such as the detailed focus on financial barriers and scholarships in the fourth paragraph, rather than fully exploring the core pros and cons of the study/work initiative itself. To reach a higher band, the main arguments regarding academic and professional growth need deeper elaboration and more sustained support throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear stance established early on. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct points, moving from a general introduction to individual body paragraphs covering advantages, cultural exposure, financial drawbacks, and a conclusion. However, cohesion at times feels mechanical or faulty, with transitional phrases like 'On the onehand', 'On the otherhand', and 'Beside its advantages their are' being used rigidly. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the logical progression between sentences can feel abrupt. To improve, the writer needs to employ a wider and more natural range of cohesive devices and ensure smoother transitions between contrasting ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items related to higher education and professional development, such as 'practical knowledge', 'standard operating protocols', and 'artificial intelligence'. However, there are noticeable lexical and spelling errors throughout the text, including 'undergraduted', 'benefitial', 'essantial', 'carrer', 'campany', 'feild', 'scenerio', and 'benefial'. Word choice is sometimes imprecise, which occasionally distracts the reader. To achieve a higher band, the vocabulary needs to display greater precision, and spelling accuracy must be maintained across both common and less common words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to construct multi-clause sentences. However, there is a lack of sustained accuracy, with frequent grammatical errors involving subject-verb agreement ('Every universities should', 'student need'), article usage ('a practical experience', 'the feild of medical lab technology'), pluralisation ('different way of teaching'), and prepositional patterns. Run-on sentences and punctuation slips also occur, such as in the final paragraph. While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they reflect a limited control over complex structures and place the grammar securely in the mid-range.
