Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argue that university students should spend some time studying abroad or doning a job placement as part of their degree. I belive the advantage of this idea far outweigh the disadvantages.
The going for study borad is more money spend and some time consltant though out your money. One major reason all so student tafe for living away from home. some
student worred about for higher education for going abord, students appliction are regected the are process is time taken and time wasted for study. For example, all the university offer for student scholarship and support us they students helping university all the issues solve, they student going for study abord different univercity and different programs we will take.
For study abord student helping the allso caugh the cultrue and practical experience.
They do not only books studies. ''Interacting with people from abroad helps you learn a new language and culture.'' They all so hellping for searching jobs.
For insest, a business student who does a three month work placement in a bank will learn how to deal with real customers, manage accounts and work in a team. This books. Similarly, a student who studies one semester abroad will improve his english, understand a new culture and become more confident. Therefore, such experience make students more skilled for future jobs.
In conclusion, although studying abroad or doing a placement has some costs and challenges, its benefits for career and personal growth are much greater. So universities should include it in all undergraduate courses.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear answer to the question: the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and the conclusion repeats this position. You also address both sides, mentioning costs and the difficulty of living away from home before discussing cultural learning, confidence and career skills. The work-placement example in a bank is relevant and gives some concrete support. However, several points are difficult to understand or remain undeveloped, particularly the discussion of scholarship support and rejected applications. The benefits are explained more fully than the disadvantages, and the link between the examples and why universities should require these experiences could be clearer. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a relevant example to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. The final paragraph also returns to your main position. However, progression within the body paragraphs is often unclear: the first body paragraph moves from costs to living away from home, applications and scholarships without showing how these points connect. Some linking expressions, such as “For example,” “Similarly” and “Therefore,” are used, but connections between ideas are sometimes inaccurate or incomplete. The phrase “This books” interrupts the work-placement example, and references such as “they” do not always make clear who is meant. Group related ideas together and use clear topic sentences and precise referencing to improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “work placement,” “practical experience,” “interacting,” “culture” and “career.” These choices show an effort to discuss education and employment rather than relying entirely on very basic language. However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form and collocation are frequent enough to make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “study borad,” “doning a job placement,” “more money spend” and “student worred.” Some wording is also vague or unnatural, such as “all the issues solve” and “This books.” Check spelling carefully and learn common topic phrases as complete units, such as “gain practical experience” and “cover the additional costs.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, including “although studying abroad or doing a placement has some costs and challenges, its benefits… are much greater.” This shows an effort to express contrast and give reasons. However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur frequently. For instance, “It is often argue” needs a passive form, while “the advantage … far outweigh” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Several sentences in the first body paragraph are incomplete or difficult to parse, which can obscure the intended meaning. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related ideas using clauses such as “because,” “although” and “which.”
