Student answer (Band 6.0)
The concept about universities undergraduate learners prevails that, they should get a job placement or abroad learning opportunity for a period of time .I think the pros of this technique
would outweigh the cons because it can boost career skills and personal growth.
Firstly, if we discuss this from the positive point of view, learning and working abroad for a short period of time for studies could level-up career skills and inter-personal skills. Individuals would have a chance to meet the colleagues from different ethnicity resulting in learning different cultures. It can also help in developing personal growth. For example: Students who are introvert in nature would have a chance of exposure to a different environment and can gain knowledge from fellow students in their studies and can enhance communication skils too. Learners would also be able to gain practical skills from the job placement opportunity. Such as, they can avail hands-on experience on different softwares or tools related to their field and can gain expertise in their field.
On the other side, it would also bring disadvantages, such as student may not adapt themselves to the new environment resulting in health issues like stress or depression. It can also have a drawback that students may get overjoyed or adapted themselves in the new workplace or university that they would have a problem in adjusting themselves in coming back to their country of orgin resulting in deprivation of interest in studies and job.
From my perspective, the advantages of studying abroad outweigh the disadvantages. All noble and intelligent learners should get the opportunity of studying and working abroad so they can gain success in their personal and practical life by gaining interpersonal and hands-on experiences.
In conclusion, it is recommended that all university bachelors level students should get exposure to job placements and students exchange program offers in abroad so they can have develop personal skills and boost their career growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, and you address both sides of the question. The benefits are relevant, including career skills, cultural awareness and personal development; the example of an introverted student gaining confidence gives one idea some support. The disadvantages of stress and difficulty readjusting are also identified. This covers the task well, but the ideas are not equally developed: the disadvantages are asserted rather than illustrated, and the link between a compulsory placement and the claimed benefits could be explained more fully. The conclusion repeats your view but adds little. To strengthen the response, explain how students and courses benefit in practice, and develop at least one drawback with a specific example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for advantages, one for disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the other side,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the overall direction. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and some links between ideas are not fully clear. The advantages paragraph moves from cultural learning to introversion and then practical skills without always showing how each point connects to the main claim. The sentence beginning “Such as” is also a fragment, which interrupts the flow. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports. Clearer topic sentences and more precise referencing would make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “career skills,” “personal growth,” “hands-on experience,” and “interpersonal skills,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “practical skills” and “different environment.” However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or imprecise, including “level-up career skills,” “different ethnicity,” and “deprivation of interest.” Spelling errors such as “skils” and “orgin” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall argument, but they make some sentences less natural. Aim for precise academic collocations and check spelling; for example, describe students as developing skills or losing interest rather than using unclear phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “because,” “that,” and “resulting in,” so there is some variety. The main argument remains understandable, but errors occur across sentence structures and punctuation. For example, “The concept about universities undergraduate learners prevails that” has an unclear grammatical construction, while “student may not adapt themselves” has an article and agreement problem. In “they would have a problem in adjusting themselves,” the conditional structure is awkward, and several sentences run together or use commas where a full stop is needed. The fragment “Such as, they can avail…” also shows incomplete sentence control. Practise building accurate complex sentences and proofreading articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries.
