Student answer (Band 5.0)

There is no denying the fact that study in university is open many doors for you choice like stadyin in foreign country or doing an internship for get job opportunities. While it is a commonly held belief that choose study abroad or doing a work placemnet helps students to develop their knowledge, there is also an argument that study in another country or work placement is not enough for students. This essay will analyse this topic from both points of view and express my opinion.

On one hand, study in foreign country and working in companies make people to imporve thier knowledge. In other words, develop countries had better qualification then other country and have many chance for workers. in additon, work in placement make the student It applies theoretical knowledge in the field and boosts employment prospects, for example, many factories they need new graduaters students for job.

On ther other hand, many individuals beleive that they no job opportunities for new students , it is also possible to say that companies need people they have more experience for job.

Moreover, study in another country they extermly expansive and difficult. for instance, many students they feel alone and streesed in first mounths, and it is so hard to learn new language they make spent mor six months to learning culturs for their country. for instance, many countries they need for visitor or students known they language for easy communication.

In conclusion, there is no easy answers to this question. On balance, however, I tend to believe that study in development countires make students develop thier knowledge and get many job opportunities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the issue: the benefits of international study or placements, and concerns about employment prospects, cost, loneliness, and language. Your conclusion also gives a preference for studying in developed countries. However, the response only partially answers the central question of whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages: the conclusion favours one benefit, but does not clearly compare the two sides or explain why that benefit is more important. Several points are asserted rather than developed. For example, the claim that placements improve employment prospects needs a clearer explanation or a specific example, while the disadvantages are listed without showing how strongly they affect students. State your position directly and support each main point with a reason and relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for opposing views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph shifts abruptly from qualifications to workers and then to factories, and the second combines employment concerns with the costs and emotional challenges of studying abroad. Some linking phrases are repeated or do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it before moving on. Clearer connections between claims and examples would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “work placement,” “theoretical knowledge,” “employment prospects,” and “communication.” These choices show an effort to discuss education and work rather than relying only on very basic terms. However, the range is limited and many spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “stadyin,” “imporve thier knowledge,” and “extremely expansive” (apparently intended to mean expensive). Some phrases are also imprecise, including “develop countries had better qualification.” Build a reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling and natural word combinations. For example, distinguish “developed countries” from “developing countries,” and use “gain qualifications” or “improve their skills” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer structures, including a contrast in the introduction and clauses introduced by “while” and “for example.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and sentence construction appear in phrases such as “study in university is open many doors,” “make people to improve,” and “they make spent more six months.” Agreement and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “many factories they need new graduates students for job.” These problems sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise forming accurate basic clauses first, then combine them with subordinate clauses. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, infinitives after verbs, articles, and punctuation between independent clauses.
