Student answer (Band 5.5)
The basic agenda of university is to prepare the students for the corporate and adjust in different enviorments, so the courses of university should have period in which they make student to experience of corporate or meet different peoples by exchanging there courses with the other university. This opportunity has been more benefical rather than its circumstances.
Styding abroad make the opportunity for the students to meet the new peoples which help them increase there connections.furthermore, they can get different education according to there practices make there thinking vast and also increase the exposure of the students. By meeting the people of different nation the students can get to know about the different cultures there pratices. for instance, they get know about the different types of knowledge. Moreover, the work placement give the hands on experience to the students of corporate. By working in corporate they will learn more rather than they learn from the theory they study during lectures. for example, working on realtime projects gives them hands on experience which help them a lot in there future corporate life.
In Contrast, abroad study or work placment take the more time period of the students and also make them suffer more stress of the study. like studying abroad make the student to learn in an entirely new enviorment which make a little hard for the student. on the other hand, work placement make the student to suffer the pressure of the corporate and there hardships.
In short, it is essential for the student to experience the corporate life and also how to adjust and study in different and fully new enviorment. So, this opportunity is far more benefical for the students instead of the drawbacks of this oppotunity

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both the benefits and drawbacks and make your position clear: the advantages are “far more beneficial” than the disadvantages. Relevant benefits include cultural exposure, wider connections and practical experience through work placements, while you also recognise stress and adjustment difficulties. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, “different types of knowledge” is vague, and the claim that placements prepare students for corporate life would be stronger with a specific example of a skill or outcome. The disadvantages are also less developed than the benefits. Explain how universities could manage these challenges, or why the long-term gains outweigh them, to make your argument more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on advantages, a paragraph on disadvantages and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow your position. You also use linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” “In contrast” and “In short.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several links feel mechanical or do not accurately express the relationship between ideas. For instance, “for instance” is followed by the general statement “they get know about the different types of knowledge,” rather than a specific example. Some sentences run ideas together, while full stops and capitalisation are inconsistent. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “work placement,” “hands-on experience,” “exposure” and “different cultures.” These choices show an attempt to discuss education and employment beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several word-choice or collocation errors make parts of the response awkward, such as “prepare the students for the corporate,” “meet the new peoples” and “suffer the pressure.” Spelling errors, including “enviorments,” “benefical” and “placment,” are also noticeable and can distract the reader. Aim for accurate, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for skills, workplace demands and cultural learning would help express your ideas clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses linked with “which” and “by,” and the main meaning is generally understandable. However, control is uneven: some complex sentences are difficult to follow because clauses are joined without clear grammatical structure. For example, “different education according to there practices make there thinking vast” lacks a clear subject–verb relationship, and “working on realtime projects gives them hands on experience which help them” has an agreement error in the relative clause. There are also recurring problems with articles, plurals, verb forms and sentence boundaries. Practise building one clear main clause before adding supporting clauses, and check subject–verb agreement and punctuation when editing.
