Student answer (Band 4.5)
I firmly believe that university undergraduate courses should include a period of time spent studying abroad or doing a work placement advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages.
To begin with, university undergraduate courses must include a time period for student to spent their life in abroad for did study. It built energy to live alone without family and did do their work by youself it creates a strong mindset between the student he did know the reality of life because many students do a part time job with their education while studying. Some students make a mindset that education is everything but that's not correct, in reality life is based on skills what skils that undergraduate have its matter.Secondly, the university did give them a time to go outside and find jobs related to their subjects. That they were doing in the university it gives benefit to a student because after completing their education undergrauate don;t worry about practical skills. The allready have after complete the education.for instance one student complete their education and the don;t have practical skill after university the student struggling for practical skill. If they do when he was in university that will give them a benifit in future.
In conclusion, university going student do a part timme job with their study because it gives them a benifit after studie complete. Some students will go abroad for studie because it is very helpful. The saw the ups and downs of the life and maintain discipline and doing everything without ant help of the family member.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You take a position in favour of including overseas study or work placements, and you give relevant reasons: gaining independence and developing practical skills. The example of a graduate struggling without practical experience also supports your argument. However, the response does not clearly compare the advantages with any disadvantages, so this part of the question is largely unaddressed; the conclusion repeats benefits rather than weighing both sides. Several ideas are difficult to follow or remain general, such as the claim that students “saw the ups and downs of the life.” The response is 242 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 17 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop the comparison and explain each example more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is a basic overall structure: an opening position, a body paragraph presenting benefits, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the response. However, the body paragraph contains several ideas joined together without clear development, and the shift from independence to part-time work and then practical skills is abrupt. Some links are unclear, as in “That they were doing in the university it gives benefit to a student.” The conclusion also introduces part-time work again rather than drawing together the main argument. Use separate paragraphs for distinct benefits, connect each claim to its explanation, and make references such as “they” and “it” clearly identify what they mean.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is basic but includes relevant terms such as “practical skills,” “part time job,” “education,” and “discipline,” which allow the reader to identify your main points. However, the same general words are repeated, and several phrases are inaccurate or unclear, including “spent their life in abroad,” “strong mindset between the student,” and “the reality of life.” Spelling and word-form errors—such as “skils,” “undergruate,” “benifit,” and “studie”—also reduce accuracy. These limitations sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to understand. Build a more precise range for discussing placements and international study, and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to express reasons and consequences using clauses, for example, “because after completing their education…” and “If they do when he was in university…”. However, the range of sentence structures is very limited, and many sentences contain frequent errors that obscure relationships between ideas. Examples include “It built energy to live alone,” “student to spent,” and “The allready have after complete the education.” Verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries are often inaccurate; the opening sentence also runs two ideas together without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses with consistent subjects and verb tenses. Proofread each sentence for a complete subject–verb structure and clear punctuation.
