Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is a point of recommendation by some people that all global universities bachelor degree courses should include a time duration for students to study abroad or to perform some work placement in abroad. I believe that the advantages of this aspect would overcome the adverse impact of this.
Some of the universities approached students for some kind of internships or for work placement abroad. This approach includes several perks for the students that they gain hands-on experience in their field at global level. Moreover they got a chance to interact with the other nations students and delegates which help to empower their overall skills and ethical values alongwith the knowledge of the different cultures . Through this methodology, there should be benefit of introduction of new research and technology in their own country which help them to serve to nation and also contribute to economic development of the country. There should be encouragement in the theoreotical and practical gains of the individual.
Although, there should be some drawbacks along with some merits which led to suffering to university or individual. When a person is going abroad for some education or work experience , there should be a proper expenditure involved which covers the tuition fees, living expenses and other related expenses. Sometimes, universities bears the students expenditure in hope of great development or recognition whereas student decides to settle there in abroad and not returned to the home country and enhance the value of that foreign country . It led to global competition among the nations. Meanwhile, it should better to provide opportunities to students.
In conclusion, I firmly believed that it should be crucial for universities to provide global opportunities to their undergraduate scholars, so that, they can be able to achieve great milestones in their life without any feel of regretion.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you believe the benefits of overseas study or placements outweigh the drawbacks. You address both sides, identifying practical experience, cultural exchange and possible costs or graduate retention as relevant points. However, some ideas are asserted rather than explained. For example, the claim that international experience will introduce research and technology to the home country needs a clearer explanation of how students would transfer that knowledge. The concern that students may settle abroad is relevant, but its effect on universities and the balance of advantages could be developed further. To strengthen the response, explain each main point with a specific example and make the comparison between benefits and costs more explicit in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, moving from an introduction to benefits, drawbacks and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish the two sides, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Although” and “In conclusion” signal the direction of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The benefits paragraph moves from skills to national economic development without fully showing the link, while “Meanwhile, it should better to provide opportunities” does not clearly connect to the preceding concern about students staying abroad. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s main point, then arrange supporting details in a clear sequence. More precise referencing and transitions would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “hands-on experience,” “living expenses,” “economic development” and “global competition.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, but several phrases are unnatural or imprecise, such as “point of recommendation,” “time duration,” “in abroad” and “enhance the value of that foreign country.” There are also spelling and word-form errors, including “theoreotical” and “regretion.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding the general argument, but they reduce precision and naturalness. Prefer common, accurate collocations over elaborate wording, and check spelling and word forms carefully. For instance, “overseas work placement” is more natural than “work placement in abroad.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and longer sentences with subordinate clauses, for example the sentence beginning “Sometimes, universities bears…” This shows an attempt to vary sentence structure, and the main argument is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and sentence construction. For example, “universities bears” should use a plural verb, and “the other nations students” needs a possessive form. The sentence beginning “Although” is not correctly connected to a main clause, and “it should better to provide” is missing a grammatical construction. Review agreement and clause structure, and punctuate longer sentences carefully. Building accurate complex sentences will improve control without sacrificing variety.
