Student answer (Band 4.5)
Today we talking about should include a period of time spent of studying abroad in all universities and or doing a work placement . May be we have to include the time spent because if any student spending the tim ein their own course then they peroform execellent in their exams and assignment
Their is most benefit of include the time spent in courses if any student weak in any subject of semester then this student have a chance to perform well in their last semester and amny students may be execellent in their study they dont need more time for study but if they more time to their study by this rule so they can perform amazing in their exam .
Disadvantage of not doing work placement is some student perform amazing in their exam and they need money for their financial expensec and they also want to do internships in their last year of course so if university increase the period of study or cousec then these student had to survive for their financial needs .
In this whole passage we can understand the why we need to include the period of time spent in courses? and what is benefit of it and what disadvantage and problems university and students.
Students really need to include the period of time in their study but they also need of work placement for better expereince and financially survived . most of the time students ask for why university want to include the period of time spent and after taking this actine may be its possible some international students that not be decided for study abroad

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the general topic and mention possible benefits, such as students having more time to improve academically, alongside a concern that extending study could affect students who need income. However, the response does not clearly answer whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The discussion also shifts between extra study time, studying abroad, and work placements, so the main argument is difficult to identify. For example, “if any student weak in any subject” is a relevant starting point, but the benefit is not explained in relation to overseas study or workplace experience. To strengthen the response, state your position directly and develop a small number of relevant reasons with specific examples, explaining how each supports your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an attempt to organise the response into paragraphs, and the reader can identify a benefits section, a disadvantage section, and a concluding paragraph. However, ideas are not arranged in a clear progression, and several points repeat rather than build the argument. The opening moves from the task to extra time for exams, while the later discussion introduces financial needs and international students without clear links to the central question. Phrases such as “In this whole passage” do not effectively connect or summarise the argument. Use a clear structure—introduction with your position, one paragraph for each main reason, and a conclusion—and connect ideas with accurate, purposeful transitions and clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on words such as “time,” “student,” “study,” and “perform.” Some topic-related terms, including “work placement,” “internships,” and “financial needs,” show an attempt to discuss relevant concepts. However, spelling and word-choice errors often make the meaning difficult to follow, as in “execellent,” “financial expensec,” and “financially survived.” Several phrases are also unnatural, such as “include the time spent in courses” and “perform amazing in their exam.” Build a more precise range for this topic, including terms such as “practical experience,” “academic performance,” and “living expenses,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to express reasons and conditions, for example with “if any student…” and “but if they more time…,” but sentence structures are mostly simple or incomplete, and errors are frequent enough to obscure meaning. Examples include “Today we talking,” “if any student weak,” and “they dont need more time,” where verb forms and sentence construction are not controlled. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, including the long, unclear opening sentence and missing apostrophes. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then use controlled complex patterns such as “If students receive…,” and proofread each sentence for tense, agreement, articles, and punctuation.
