Student answer (Band 5.0)

Indroduction:

All university undergraduate courses should include a period of time spent doing a work placement. Some of the universities of our country is already implementing it rather than bookish knowlwdge. Doing a work placemant or internship boosts up a student early career and their confidence.

Benefit of doing work placement:

I totally aggreed with the statement that all university undergraduate courses should include a period of time spent on going work placement. As a student of Islamic University of Technology we have to do a particular internship programe in our final semester. From that internship program people got placemented in the same company. It happend same with me i was doing my internship in Asiatic Mindshare limited later on they offered me a job with a good amount of pay. So, all the university undergraduate course should include the internhip program in their last semester.

How it outweigh the disadvantage:

I don't think there are any disadvantage of the placement criteria. Some could adress that they could gain more bookish knowldege in that time without doing the particular internship program but after the graduation everybody needed a particular job or placement. This is why i think it is very important criteria for all the students. Also bookish knowlegde can't give me experience in job feild.

Concluation

All the details i have shared from that evaluation all unniverrsity undergraduate courses shoud include a period of time spent studying or doing a work placement.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a clear position in favour of work placements and support it with a relevant personal example: your internship at Asiatic Mindshare led to a job offer. However, the response addresses the task only partially. The prompt asks about studying abroad as well as work placements, but you discuss placements alone, and the disadvantages are dismissed rather than examined. The claim that there are no disadvantages is followed by only one brief counterpoint about gaining more academic knowledge. Your response contains 221 words, so it is 29 words below the 250-word minimum; 22 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop both sides of the question and explain why the benefits outweigh the drawbacks with specific support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure, with an introduction, a section on benefits, a discussion of disadvantages and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify your main position. However, the progression between ideas is limited, and the headings do much of the organisational work. The benefit paragraph repeats the view that placements should be included before moving to your personal example, while the disadvantage paragraph shifts quickly from a possible concern to your conclusion. Linking phrases such as “This is why” and “Also” are used, but relationships between claims could be clearer. Organise the essay into developed paragraphs with topic sentences, and use transitions to show contrast and explain how each example supports your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “internship,” “confidence,” “placement” and “experience,” and your meaning is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “work placement” and “bookish knowledge.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “aggreed,” “placemented” and “internhip,” which can distract the reader. Some phrases are not natural in this context: “boosts up a student early career” and “job field” do not express the ideas precisely. Build a wider set of accurate terms for academic learning and employment, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your reasoning clearer and less repetitive.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional contrast beginning “Some could address that…,” but the range is limited and complex constructions are often faulty. Errors occur frequently in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries. For example, “Some of the universities of our country is” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “there are any disadvantage” needs a plural noun and a different structure. In “From that internship program people got placemented,” the sentence pattern and verb form are not controlled. Punctuation is also inconsistent, especially in the long personal example. Practise building accurate sentences with subordinate clauses, and check agreement, tense consistency, articles and punctuation before submitting.
