Student answer (Band 5.5)

Spending a period of time in gaining knowledge in abroad or locked into real world experiences by working should be included in all bachelor's institute courses. From my perspective, there should be a proper counseling of students at the education centre about the concept of expericing life in real world, by stepping out of their comfort horizons and coping with the real world problems and individuals should be able to present their solutions.

I truly support the view of giving an opportunity to undergraduates to step out and have hands on experience of what they have learned. It plays a significant role in a student life not just at academic part but also it shapes the personality of students. Studying with the multicultural individuals really will play a significant role in their life.

I believe by sparing a time between their courses is to make students capable to get an opportunity to gain knowledge in abroad it will not only increases students Iq level but also it will give them a chance to have communication with varied individuals. The advantages of studying abroad or working at the meantime are numerous than its detrimental effects. Because from my experience, in this contemporary society every individual should have a good command on communication skills which will be mastered by interacting with multicultural individuals. Moreover, it will taught students about independency at earlier stage of their life which will helped them later in their life.

In conclusion, i would say that stepping out in real world earlier along with the study will truly improve individuals skills not only at academic level but also it will surely sculpture their personality.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a clear position in favour of including overseas study or work placements, and you give relevant benefits: contact with people from different cultures, stronger communication skills, and greater independence. These points address the topic, but the comparison of advantages and disadvantages is only briefly asserted in “numerous than its detrimental effects”; the disadvantages themselves are not identified or weighed. Several claims, such as improving students’ “Iq level,” are also not explained or supported with a specific example. To strengthen the response, develop two or three benefits with clear explanations and examples, then acknowledge a realistic drawback—such as cost or disruption to study—and explain why the benefits outweigh it.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and the reader can follow the general argument in favour of placements. However, progression between ideas is limited: the second paragraph repeats the point about the significance of multicultural contact, while the third combines communication, intelligence and independence without clearly showing how each point develops the argument. Linking phrases such as “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal stages, but some connections are mechanical or unclear, particularly “I believe by sparing a time between their courses is to make students capable.” Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, explain it in sequence, and use clearer references and transitions to connect claims.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “multicultural individuals,” “communication skills,” “independency” and “contemporary society,” and the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably unnatural, sometimes making the meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “locked into real world experiences” does not express the intended idea clearly, and “sparing a time” is not a natural way to describe allocating time. “Iq level” is also an imprecise claim in this context. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “gain practical experience,” “allocate a period of study,” and “develop independence.” Check spelling and word forms, including “expericing,” and avoid using ambitious expressions unless their meaning and collocation are secure.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a sentence beginning “Because from my experience,” and use clauses to connect reasons. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or unclear. For example, “it will not only increases” has incorrect verb form and agreement, while “it will taught students” and “which will helped them” use incorrect verb forms after “will.” The opening sentence also has an unclear grammatical structure, and “i” should be capitalised. Practise building accurate sentences with modal verbs followed by the base form, and check subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries before adding more complex clauses.
