Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, some people argue that university should provide pupils with oppourtunity to gain international experience or practical skills in the workplace, although this may invlove certain challenges. But i believe that its benefits are greater than its drawbacks.
On the one hand, one major advantage of this approach is that pupils can gain practical knowledge and develop new skills. Studying overseas allow them to experience different culture, improve their communication skills and become more independent. For example, students who study in another country may learn how to solve obstacles without depending on their families. Similaraly, a workplace help students how company operate and how theorictical knowledge is applied in real circumstances. For instance, a business students understood the fundamental of how to deal with clients and grap a project. In addition, this experiences improves their Cv and enhance their chances to finding a multi national company with well paid. They may become more confident and better prepare for future.
On the other hand, some students find it difficult to live in a foriegn country because they need ot pay for accomadition, utility biils, transport and other living cost. This may create financial difficulties for pupils especially with low income family background. In addition, some students struggle to adjust to a new culture and language, which may affect their studies and mental well being. Likewise, work placement may not always available in every field making this requirment difficult for some university to arrange. As a result, students need to get loan with banks, which they pay their whole life.
In conclusion, although, compulsory study programs and work placement may cause financial and practical difficulties. But i believe that studying aborad provide them to experience culture and prepare them for the demand of modern workplace.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction—“its benefits are greater than its drawbacks”—and you address both advantages and disadvantages. The benefits are relevant: overseas study may build independence and communication skills, while placements can show how theoretical knowledge is used at work. You also identify genuine concerns about costs, adjustment, and placement availability. This meets the task well, but the support is uneven: the business-student example is difficult to follow, and the financial disadvantage is asserted to lead to lifelong loans without explaining how common or unavoidable this is. The conclusion also focuses mainly on studying abroad rather than weighing both options. Develop these points and make the comparison of overall benefits and costs more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” make the contrast easy to follow, and examples are generally placed beside the points they support. However, some links feel mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “For example,” “For instance,” and “In addition.” The progression within the advantages paragraph is also crowded: practical learning, employability, confidence, and preparation for the future are introduced in quick succession without enough explanation of how they connect. In the final paragraph, “although” and “But” create an awkward contrast. Group related ideas more deliberately and use clearer references between claims and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “practical knowledge,” “communication skills,” “financial difficulties,” and “mental well being.” These choices show that you can discuss education, employment, and costs. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word combinations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear: “oppourtunity,” “theorictical,” “grap a project,” and “chances to finding a multi national company with well paid.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “solve obstacles” and “a workplace help students how company operate.” Aim for accurate collocations and word forms rather than adding more ambitious vocabulary. Proofreading spelling and checking phrases in context would make your ideas easier to understand and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in the opening and clauses beginning “because” and “which.” Most ideas remain understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. For example, “Studying overseas allow them” needs subject–verb agreement, while “a workplace help students how company operate” has several grammatical problems that obscure the intended relationship. The conclusion’s “although … But” construction is also faulty, and “studying aborad provide them to experience” does not form a correct verb pattern. Work on building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected supporting clause; then check agreement and verb patterns. More reliable control of these structures would strengthen the range you are already attempting.
