Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this day and age it is a debateable concern that in this contemporary era numerous masses consider that universities sent their students to abroad for higher studies and give job opportunities to undergraduates and university should include that type of courses in their programmes. According to my opinion i strongly agreed with this statement due to the fact that when students do these activities their personality will groomed and that type of programmes play vital role in development of human personality.

To begin with there are numerous merits of this staement. Initially if universities sent the students to abroad for higher ebducation subsequently they learn various things related to that nation such as they learn their culture, language and food etc.for instance if university include that course hence the students will work hard and achieve their goals. Additionaly, it is the responsibility of the university that they give the job opportunities to the students and also include the jobs in their courses, For instance majority of the people in our country are middle class so if universities will give jobs to the students then they work hard and earns maximum amount of money and their knowledge also increase about their field and profession.

On the flip side, despite its merits there are numerous demerits. first and foremost if uni include these courses in their programmes subsequently each student want to move abroad and they dont on their studies. For example, if student do any work and move abroad they just waste their time and their initial preference will to earn handsome amount as comapred to focus on studies.

To conclude this without any doubt university add these courses in their programmes owing this it play a significant role in the development of the student due to the fact that if student will do any job and utilize their expenditures therfore they will become more easy for him.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a position in favour of including these experiences, and you give relevant potential benefits, such as learning about another country’s culture and gaining work experience. However, the response only partially addresses the central comparison: it does not clearly explain whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The disadvantage paragraph focuses on students moving abroad and neglecting their studies, but this point is brief and its connection to a required placement or study period is unclear. Several benefits are also asserted rather than explained—for example, the claim that placements help students earn money and increase professional knowledge needs a clearer link to the course requirement. State your judgement explicitly and develop each main point with a specific explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, a benefits paragraph, a paragraph beginning “On the flip side,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the broad stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from cultural learning to working hard and achieving goals without explaining the connection, while the second combines studying abroad, work, and loss of focus. Linking phrases such as “Initially,” “Additionaly,” and “first and foremost” are sometimes mechanical or do not clarify the relationship between ideas. The conclusion also repeats the general position rather than resolving the advantages-versus-disadvantages question. Organise each paragraph around one main claim and use clearer references and transitions to show how supporting details relate.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “personality,” “development,” “job opportunities,” and “profession.” There are also efforts to use more formal expressions, such as “play a vital role.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words and phrases, including “students,” “courses,” “work,” and “do these activities.” Several choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “universities sent their students to abroad,” “personality will groomed,” and “handsome amount.” Spelling errors, including “staement,” “ebducation,” and “comapred,” also reduce control. Build a more precise set of terms for placements and international study, and check spelling and natural word partnerships so your meaning is consistently easy to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using clauses introduced by “if,” “when,” and “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “their personality will groomed,” which lacks the required verb form, and “if universities will give jobs … then they work hard,” where the conditional structure is not controlled. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “university add these courses” and the run-on construction beginning “Initially if universities sent…”. Use a smaller number of well-controlled sentence patterns first; practise consistent subject–verb agreement, articles, and conditional forms, and punctuate each complete idea clearly.
