Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemorary era, it has sparked the serious debate among the public where people expect all university undergraduate program must include a duration when student spent time on studying abroad or doing working overthere.Although, it increases the cost of education, I firmly believe this is a positive development and has more advantages.
First of all, either studying abroad or having international experience during university era provides exiciting opportunities to secure lucrative jobs. Many multi-nationals and international firms always prefer to recurite such individuals who has international exposure. In Pakistan, for example, the higer positions of the companies are occupied by those persons who were graduted from foreign countries or having international working experience. So, including this option in undergraduates level could be beneficial for student.
In addition to this, when the young minds visits developed countries there ways of thinking will totally changed. Because they meets different people, explore scientific places and learn how things operate in other regions so it diversify their minds. To illustrates,The government of Pakistan took an initiative for engineering students couple of years ago, they facilitates students to complete their last semester in China, and when the students came back they are working in better manner and the developmental process of the country is enormously changed. Furthermore, people often get a chance to learn new skills and changes their way of working in future which couls be beneficial of a person and country as well.
To conclude, Although the cost of this process increases and might be not affordable for everyone. But it is more beneficial for the students and country so universities should facilitates students to studying their semester in abroad or doing interships to broader their learning process and enhances their skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you believe the benefits outweigh the higher cost, and you address both study abroad and work placements. The points about employment prospects and broader perspectives are relevant, with the Pakistan examples helping to make the argument more concrete. This meets the task well overall, but the two main benefits are not developed equally: the employment point is asserted rather than explained, and the China example does not clearly show what changed in students’ work or in national development. The disadvantage is acknowledged only briefly. To strengthen the response, explain how placements build specific skills and why these gains justify the cost, while making the example’s outcomes more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Its progression from career benefits to personal and national development is logical, and phrases such as “First of all,” “In addition to this” and “To conclude” guide the reader. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Because they meets different people…” is left as a sentence fragment, and the sequence from exploring places to diversifying minds needs a clearer link. The China example also runs into several claims without showing how they connect. Use cohesive devices more selectively, and organise each body paragraph around one claim followed by explanation and evidence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “lucrative jobs,” “international exposure,” “developmental process” and “broader their learning process.” These choices show an effort to express ideas beyond basic language, but inaccurate spelling, word forms and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less smooth. Examples include “contemorary,” “exiciting,” “recurite,” “higer” and “graduted”; “broader their learning process” is also an unnatural phrase. Some wording is vague, such as “working in better manner.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, for example “broaden their learning” and “work more effectively.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You try to use both simple and complex structures, including a concession in the introduction and clauses beginning with “when” and “who.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries sometimes make the reader work to follow the meaning. For instance, “the young minds visits” and “they meets” have subject–verb agreement errors, while “their ways of thinking will totally changed” has an incorrect verb form. “Because they meets…” is also a fragment, and punctuation is missing around several sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate complex sentences first, then check each clause for a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
