Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some people argue that university should include a period of time spent studying or doing a work placement for undergraduates .In recent year many universities have added the workplacement for undergraduates in form of internship.
All university have their own rule but the one which is common is that university are nowadays offering internship because they include their seperate marks in exam. For example If you are doing bachelor's in english so must go to the school for teaching in your last semester . However the other thing is that spending time in abroad so any of university are not providing that because the Thing is that it is responsiblity of countries to offer these thing. Therefore universities have no fult .
Furthermore, the advantages and disadvantages. while the advantages of workplacement is a very good thing for student which are undergraduate because they can experanice the thing they are studying because if they tryed it once so they will work more harder to achieve that.and they will motivate from that. The disadvantage is that student will do more work because he will do his study as well as do work. So it will be very difficult for them to manage things. After that the advantage of studing abroad is that they will explore the other country and their universities. Meanwhile the disadvantage is that they will no concentrating on their study.
From my perspective, it is good to have the both in unversity because student are very motivated by these activities.
In conclusion, many student i see that they go to abroad after their graduates and go to private institute to get experiance.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address the topic by discussing work placements and studying abroad, and you give a personal view in “it is good to have the both in university.” However, the response only minimally answers the key question: it does not clearly decide whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The discussion lists possible benefits and drawbacks, but points such as students gaining practical experience or struggling to balance work and study are not explained with specific consequences or examples. The claim that universities are not responsible for offering overseas study also shifts attention away from evaluating the proposal. To strengthen the response, state your comparison clearly in the introduction and conclusion, then develop relevant reasons showing why one side is more significant. The length requirement is met; eight words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is an attempt to organise the response into an introduction, discussion paragraphs, a personal view and a conclusion. The reader can identify separate points about placements and studying abroad. However, ideas are not arranged in a consistently logical progression: the second paragraph moves from university rules to internships, then to overseas study and responsibility without clear links. The paragraph beginning “Furthermore” combines advantages and disadvantages of both options, making the comparison difficult to follow. Connectors such as “However,” “Therefore” and “Meanwhile” are used, but some do not show the precise relationship between the ideas. Use one paragraph for each main aspect, make the comparison explicit, and ensure each sentence develops the point introduced by the previous one.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is basic and often repetitive, with frequent reliance on words such as “thing,” “good,” “student” and “work.” Some topic-related terms, including “internship,” “undergraduates” and “semester,” help communicate the subject. However, inaccurate word choice and spelling sometimes strain the reader’s understanding, as in “experanice,” “responsiblity” and “fult.” Phrases such as “they will motivate from that” and “they will no concentrating” also show difficulty selecting natural expressions. Build a more precise range for discussing educational benefits and challenges, and check spelling carefully. For example, describe students as gaining “practical experience” and explain that they may “struggle to balance academic and work commitments,” rather than referring generally to “things.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts some longer sentences and uses basic linking structures, but grammatical control is weak and errors occur frequently, sometimes making relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “All university have their own rule,” where subject–verb agreement and plural forms are incorrect, and “if they tryed it once so they will work more harder,” which has an incorrect verb form and comparative structure. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “achieve that.and they will motivate from that.” There are attempts at subordinate clauses, but these are often faulty or awkwardly joined. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build controlled complex sentences with clear clauses. Check agreement, articles, verb forms and punctuation during revision.
