Student answer (Band 4.5)
All university undergraduate courses should include a period of time spent studying abroad or doing a work placement.
Every student have dream he get educational from high class universities which give alot of success rate to our student.
firstly i talk about study abraod many student have dream for study abroad because it will give new skill new styel new personality rather than other countrys as well as for study abraod have many opportunities for students to not take struggling of paying the fee or food expenses.
for example, universities gives to students scholarships, as well as jobs opportunities to paying fee for the next semester's.
On the other hand other universities which is not counted in international universities they still dont have any opportunities like to earn while studying or after completing degree even they dont teach like good speaking in English foreign countries still strugling with this issue.
in my opinion, i like to study abroad rather than in my own country i have to like new skill study and akcent. many students struggling with there own learning subjects and i give advice to everyone studying from a good institute.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You refer to studying abroad and give a personal preference, so the response is connected to the topic. However, it does not clearly answer whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages: the comparison is not developed, and the discussion of work placements is absent. Ideas such as scholarships and job opportunities are mentioned but not explained with relevant detail, while the claim that local universities offer no opportunities is broad and unsupported. The response is also 76 words below the 250-word minimum; the 18 words copied from the task prompt are not included in the count. To improve, state your position directly and develop both benefits and drawbacks with specific examples, including work placements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is an attempt to organise the response into an opening, a paragraph beginning “firstly,” a contrasting paragraph, and a personal conclusion. Connectors such as “On the other hand” show an effort to signal a change in direction. However, the ideas are not arranged in a clear progression: the opening makes a general claim, the main paragraphs shift between studying abroad, university quality, costs, and English skills, and the conclusion does not resolve the comparison in the question. Some links are difficult to follow, particularly “as well as for study abroad have many opportunities.” Build one paragraph around advantages and another around disadvantages, then use clear references and transitions to connect each supporting point to your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses some topic-related vocabulary, including “scholarships,” “opportunities,” “expenses,” and “semester,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with “students,” “study,” and “opportunities” recurring, and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear. For example, “success rate to our student” does not express a clear idea, and “new styel new personality” is vague. Spelling errors such as “abraod,” “countrys,” and “strugling” also reduce accuracy. To move forward, learn precise phrases for academic benefits and costs, and check spelling and collocations. For instance, describe “develop new skills” rather than “give new skill.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence with “because” and one beginning “even,” but control is inconsistent and the range remains limited. Errors in agreement and sentence construction occur frequently: “Every student have dream he get educational” contains several problems, while “universities gives” and “other universities which is” show mismatched subjects and verbs. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also often missing or inaccurate, as in “many student” and the run-on sentence beginning “firstly i talk.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationships between ideas hard to understand. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
