Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is a suggetion they all university undergraguate courses degree should incorporate a mandatory period of studying abroud or doing a work placement in my opinion the advanatages of introducing this requirment significantlt outweigh the disadvanatages.

The primary drawback of making international study work placement compulsory in the financial burden it places on student in instituions. travelling cost and living cost of accumodation they didn't affort by single hand that cost will be high for spending at abroud however low student can not be afford on living cost. while they finding relevent job are difficulty to much and they also unpiad mostly intership if university force undergraguates program to complete on time according to university time. therefore not widening the education inequality gap.

Despite these economic concerns, the professional benifits and peronsal benefits are so far more profund from a carrer perspective a work placement students with paractical skills this trainning on more employement rate of univerdsity graduate student they more rising rate of employement of job. furthermore abrouds students can more adverb and diverse to cross cultural comminication skills on independent students for instance if students can complete the engineer from the abroud they only complte only course they didin't gain technikal skills thye gain international exposure they more employement rate in modern workforce.

In conclusion, while mandatory student abroud program or work intership thye can more program and intership program they present financial and logistic challenges for some individuals. these apporunities briges to more gap between academic theory and paractical employement while fostering global citizens. therefore heavily out of provide university offer adequate financial aid support system

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and state a clear view in the introduction: the advantages “significantly outweigh the disadvantages.” The financial burden of travel and accommodation is a relevant drawback, while employability, practical skills and cross-cultural communication are relevant benefits. Your conclusion also returns to the overall comparison. However, some points are difficult to follow or are not fully explained. For example, the claim that placements “not widening the education inequality gap” is unclear, and the engineering example does not clearly show how studying abroad improves employment prospects. Develop each main idea with a clear explanation and a specific, plausible example, and make the conclusion state the comparison more directly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on disadvantages, a paragraph on advantages and a conclusion. Connectors such as “Despite these economic concerns,” “furthermore” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and the progression within paragraphs is weakened by unclear links between ideas. In the disadvantages paragraph, the discussion moves from costs to difficulty finding relevant work and unpaid internships without clearly explaining how these points connect. Several references, including “that cost” and “these opportunities,” are also hard to interpret. Use shorter, clearly sequenced sentences and make each pronoun refer unmistakably to a specific idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “financial burden,” “practical skills,” “cross-cultural communication” and “international exposure.” These choices show an effort to discuss education and employment beyond basic terms. However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are frequent, as in “suggetion,” “advanatages,” “employement” and “peronsal.” Some combinations are also unclear or unnatural, such as “more employement rate” and “more adverb and diverse,” which can make your meaning difficult to understand. Check spelling carefully and learn useful word partnerships as complete phrases—for example, “improve graduates’ employment prospects” and “develop cultural awareness”—rather than translating ideas word by word.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening to the benefits paragraph (“Despite these economic concerns”) and a conditional idea about students completing placements. However, control of sentence structure is weak: several sentences lack a clear main clause or contain incomplete constructions, such as “The primary drawback … in the financial burden” and “while they finding relevant job are difficulty.” Verb forms, agreement, articles and punctuation also need attention. For example, “students can complete the engineer” does not form a grammatical clause, and the final sentence does not clearly express a complete recommendation. Practise building sentences around a subject and finite verb, then check each clause for agreement and a complete meaning.
