Student answer (Band 4.5)

Yes ,I think it has advanteges.A student which is studing and learning in university ,he stays in university and his environment is not changing .He just learns and only follows the same hectic routine .In this way he learns things no doubt ,but not happily but in a boring way.A person wants to change the environment ,it may help to enhance his mental and physical health.Living in the same environment just can bound his mental capacity. To inhance and to gain knowlege one should change environment.Environment plays an important role for mental health .Changes are part of life .I am actually student bs .I went for exchange program in itlay. In my university ,i was learning things but there was no practice work.In itlay i came to know about many things. One basic thing was that how to talk to people confiedently and how to be a social.I just came to know about the different kind of people.I came to know how to coordinates with students.I was actually student bba and did not know how to talk to people and tell them about my bussiness. When i came there i came to know that how they are advertising their products. They were actually talking to students and people and taking to them by their own without their interest. In this way they were advertising their products. In ths way i was learing different things. One more advantage of this is that we came to know the culture of different people .Sometimes a person learns more by just looking the things .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear general view that studying abroad or gaining practical experience can benefit students, and your account of an exchange in Italy provides relevant personal support. The examples about learning to communicate confidently, interact with different people, and observe how products are advertised help explain the benefits. However, the response focuses almost entirely on advantages and does not discuss disadvantages or directly weigh whether the advantages outweigh them. Some points, such as the claim that a familiar environment limits mental capacity, are asserted rather than explained. To develop the response, address both sides and state explicitly why the benefits are more significant, supporting each main idea with a clear explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a recognisable sequence: it begins with a general argument, moves to your exchange experience, and ends with a further cultural benefit. Linking phrases such as “In this way” and “One more advantage” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the writing is presented as one long paragraph, and the progression is difficult to follow because several points repeat or shift abruptly. For example, the discussion moves from mental health to communication, then to business advertising, without clear paragraph breaks or topic sentences. Some references, including “there” and “they,” are not always immediately clear. Organise the essay into an introduction, developed body paragraphs, and a conclusion, with each paragraph focused on one main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “exchange program,” “environment,” “culture,” and “advertising,” and your personal example gives you opportunities to describe practical learning. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “came to know” and “In this way.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “advanteges,” “confiedently,” and “coordinates,” which can distract the reader. Some expressions are imprecise, for example “how to be a social” and “practice work.” Build a wider set of accurate phrases for discussing academic and workplace benefits, and check spelling and collocations carefully during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the main message is generally understandable. However, sentence structures are often repetitive, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and punctuation occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to read. For instance, “A student which is studing … he stays” has an incorrect relative pronoun and an awkward repeated subject, while “how to coordinates” does not use the correct verb form. Capitalisation and spacing around punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise forming accurate complex sentences with clauses such as “Although students learn…,” and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. Greater control of these basics would make your ideas clearer.
